Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]

- I still have issues with those one-handed patterns (example: starting ats 53.866s. Not only the speed and repetitiveness but the fact that it will not convert well on FFR)

You and I both know that the sm chart is way dumber, but I'll take a look at this. Changing this section would require a total overhaul.
Quote:
- Many BPM changes in this sporadic track. 16th sections with tricky bursts.
|
I want to respond to this by saying that this particular track is from 2005, so it's messy. The BPM changes are correct.
Quote:
- 75.18-110.60: I've noticed this same pattern keeps getting repeated over and over again and it gets annoying after a while. Vary this up more
|
This pattern keeps getting repeated over and over because that is what the song is doing. I didn't feel like changing the patterns were necessary; generally you could change overall pattern structure if the song changes pitch, but in this case it would have been arbitrary.
Quote:
- Some jumps I could follow, but most jumps were obscure. For a file with this kind of complexity and intensity, layering should be conservative.
|
Layering changes due to what's going on in the song.
Intro is self explanatory.
Section after the slow down, jumps are accenting louder percussion, and the metallic sounds (the [14]s during the slowdown).
Section that begins at 70.69, jumps are going to the squelchy sound.
Quote:
- 41.64: Note offsetting in this section of the file is unnecessary, these are just 16ths. The offsetting goes to 52.69
|
It's actually like this rofl (I'll sync to the 16th)
Quote:
- 57.74: This 24th is too late, the 12th before is what you're looking for
|
Fixed.
Quote:
- 96.32: What's with this speedup? This is going WAY faster than the actual sounds
|
The speedup is synced to the synth.
Quote:
- 96.68: This color mess is basically entirely wrong. There isn't anything that sounds complex here, there are a lot of ghost notes and wrong BPMs used. I'm still wondering why these BPM changes are here, because they made this section completely wrong.
|
This and 96.32 are fixed (and way easier to play, sheeeit)
Quote:
- 104.62: This is a 16th, not a 12th
|
We're both wrong, rip
Quote:
- 104.94: There isn't a 24th burst here, it's just 16ths
|
Was originally using 24ths to accent the vocals but yeah, 16ths play better. Fixed.
Quote:
- 107.33, 108.03: The 24th gallops being stepped here are really just 16ths
|
Same deal with 104.62.
Double dads
Quote:
- 112.84: This is a 32nd burst, not a 24th burst
|
NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT
Quote:
- 117.43, 117.48: Ghost notes. There isn't a 32nd burst here.
|
Same deal with the earlier 24ths for vocals. Fixed.
Quote:
- 118.90: There is an 8th with a 32nd triplet on the 16th after, but no 24ths
|
I see what you looking at, but I think that's just the tail end of the sound prior to it. I changed it to look like this.
Quote:
- 119.07: Missing note, 119.22 is a ghost note
|
Fixed along with 118.90.
Quote:
- 119.64: Ghost note. See 107.33
|
Quote:
- 123.69, 129.99: Like 117.43, there are no 32nd bursts in these parts
- 125.22: See 118.90
- These errors repeat.
|
As with earlier, accenting the vocals. These were fixed.
wow do I care more about this file than robotomy
