it's really not that easy, often times artists do not have the status and money to begin to even think about starting a legal battle with music corporations as big as UMG.

He's trying to pass it as if it's for musicians everywhere but even then he could do more then just tweet if je wanted to make change.

you have no idea how influential kanye west is, this will be incredibly beneficial to so many producers and musicians out there trying to negotiate deals with labels. think about it this way, if a company is willing to do this kinda shit to one of the most influential artists of the 2000s, what kinda shit are they willing to do to new and upcoming artists?
