You're seeing Christmas swag in stores early because times are tough and corporations need you to have a pavlovian response to spend money. They've literally conditioned us to spend money when you see Christmas memorabilia since before we could even talk, and they want it sooner and not later.

Don't worry about feeding corporate America because a hundred years worth of peer pressure makes you feel guilty for not getting others gifts/"being in the spirit"

Take finicial care of YOURSELF this year instead.
