Default Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 1

Just played all of the charts.

Lunar Landing - very fitting opening song for division 1. Stresses a few skills involving repeated taps and usage of 16ths, a great first round in my opinion.

Death March - this to me, is a really harsh first round. Throwing a high amount of triples like this seems a bit extreme for lower end D2 players who might not have found their confidence on spread. The chart itself is great; extremely well done, proper PR, great sync, all of which you can expect from Silvuh. I just don't think this should have been used in this particular spot.

Infinity - great chart, great placement. A little tricky to start with, but certainly nothing unmanageable for even lower D3 players to learn.

Addict - I've already said it before but I'll mention it again - AWESOME chart by Carlos, but waaaaaay too hard for the opener. This file took me more tries to AAA than my own tournament song (Spoils took me one restart, Addict took me six). It's a good D4 file, but I'm sure things could have been shifted around a bit more to put this a round later (at the least).

Euromorroc - this opener is also pretty harsh too - it requires a good understanding of jumpstreaming (and how not to split it when handling multiple jumps per beat). Certainly not out of D5's range of play, but definitely aggressive.

Spoils - also a fair bit harder than I expected, but the chart itself is really well done.
