You sound like 2010 me haha. I had HUGE arguments with judges and the team about how we should be focusing more on fun factor. We have changed a lot in terms of what gets passed into FFR now a days compared to then, like you mentioned there's a huge sea of files in FFR already and we have to have some sort of line drawn in terms of technical accuracy so we're not just throwing everything in. But as I'd mentioned already, this is where alt engines come in to play. I know it doesn't get ranked on FFR but still gives an avenue for your fun files to be played that may not meet the reqs here on FFR. Kinda like how OSU! has ranked and unranked maps, beatsaber is the same way.

I have two alternate engines I'd be more than happy to host content on for people, and Max has FFRmania up of course as well.

Per the end, not bothering us I just have to follow our guidelines on certain things to keep things running as smoothly as possible. There's still kinks and we still really need more hands on deck but it's been hard to get anyone in that stays consistent. Right now the only consistent judges are visD, goldstinger, gradiant and then AJ comes in and out as he's able. We have over 100 files still needing judgements and that's not counting the recent open batch.
