it was unfortunate, but I felt like it was necessary to add them. You are right that its a bad idea to add something like that partly through the game, but I think the downside didn't outweigh the upside here. Most of the problem here came from me scrambling to get the game going with a larger player-size. Its not something I try to do ever.
