There's an automatic check on the 13th minute of each hour. (No significance to the minute choice.) As soon as your account age reaches a day, you'll be able to post and make threads at the next 13th minute. That's all that is needed.

Before your account age reaches a day, you will be unable to post by all means. Hitting "New Thread" or "Quote" or "Post Reply" etc. will give you the following error message:

You do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
What happens is that when you make a new account, you are put into the Registered Users usergroup. This usergroup has no posting privileges. When your account reaches a day in age, it gets moved into the FFR Players usergroup, which has the default posting privileges.
