In short, Freezin ordered tps to busdrive thesunfan to himself so the kill would reflect back.
The reason they chose was for the illusion that there was a SK out there... which proved not to be of any use as you witnessed. If tps hadn't named another person to confirm after faking, then it might've been a different story.
