First post in maybe like 5-10 years. Feels kinda weird.

I've always loved music, and I've been lucky to find a community of music lovers online and become close friends with them, and we're always sharing new discoveries.

During a discussion about Joy Division, one friend told me to check out a Russian post-punk band called Кино (Kino) and I ended up watching a biopic from 2018 called Лето (Summer) which was a fun modern film about the short life of their frontman Viktor Tsoi. Turns out he was born to a Soviet-Korean father, which is fascinating to me and my friend, because we're both children of Korean immigrants.

What's even more fascinating is that the band rose to fame during the fall of the Soviet Union. The lyrics speak volumes. The sound isn't mindblowing, but so far some songs have hit hard, especially this track from arguably their most notable album.
