Default Re: World of Warcraft

I'm fairly convinced that I've completed all the solo content in Wrath of the Lich King now. All I have to say is that Blizzard has done a very good job designing the game it there has most definitely been an improvement over the original game and its first expansion. Game sequels tend to disappoint me, but all Blizzard has done was impress me. When I first hit 60, I thought the game was cool because it broke the usual grinding I saw in most MMORPGs with quests that had a strong lore background that a Warcraft I, II, and III fan like me could appreciate. When I hit 70, the strong lore was still there and the quests were improved and more fun than the ones from 1-60. The problems that I found with the quests is that they didn't tie in with the lore too much. Some quests had you on errands that weren't relevant to any story lines and the ones that were relevant to a story line weren't super interesting. Wrath of the Lich King changed that. The quests from 70-80 really had an epic feel and it it seems that Blizzard has finally truly integrated the lore with the quests.

I thought that by reaching Wrath of the Lich King and the inevitable downfall of Arthas, Blizzard would run out of pre-existing lore to use for future expansions, so I wasn't quite sure how Blizzard would continue to expand their MMO. But if you paid attention to the quests and all the new lore, it's not hard to see 2-3 new expansion ideas.
