Still, brine... why brine, of all things!?
Nowadays, from the article, the referene points are 32 and 212, as I've quoted in my post, which are (I suppose) a consequence of having 0 be the temperature of brine and 100 be the temperature of Fahrenheit's wife's armpit (wow I didn't think it could get more ridiculous, but it did!)....
The day imperial units are abolished will be a great day. While we're at it, I wish Phillips screws would be dropped in favor of the much superior square screws. Gah, sometimes it's frustrating to be your neighbors, dear USA!
