Two suggestions.

1) Aren't one week rounds a tad long? Many will feel bored from the interminable wait. Try three or four; they give most people enough time to submit a score while not being pressed for time.

2) Beginners might not necessarily have 1,000 gameplays. Maybe you should lower the requirement.
