Nah, it was a skit on some Japanese variety show- that some idiot that knows how to post videos on google made to look like a pilot.

I'm pretty sure that only one or two of those people actually knew english, the rest were reading katakana'd english, so they more than likely didn't know exactly what they were saying, and the connotations which it carried, or had to be told.
