I've found it to be creatively therapeutic! Especially as I run into walls in other areas when making stuff, it gives me another avenue to seek creative fulfillment while trying to come up with solutions in other areas. (for me atm, its a stopgap for coming up with solutions to my videography and music ideas)

Especially as I am now playing an old version where my tools are much more prohibitive-- I gotta rack my brain and become better at my creative problem solving

Charting is also an excellent way to do this as well!
