First thing you gotta do with Windows 10 is customize everything you can. By default, Microsoft is whispering a lot of optional sweet nothings to your CPU, and stealing precious MHz from her clock.
Explore the Settings interface and simplify things. Change what apps and services run at startup. Change the way system services behave, and disable things you know will not be used. Uninstall programs that are not used.
