CONTINUATION OF MARCH/APRIL 2014 BATCH

Group 2

Silvuh
[PASS] Against the Dragonflames / t+pazolite // t-rogdor

[6/10] Apocynthion Drive / HertzDevil // Reshiram
// Anything that isn't a repeat of a suggestion you got last time is marked with an asterisk. Most of the solo still needs work. The unlayering at 95.59s was good. Some of the climax theory is still weird, especially the 80.92s section.
5.46, 6.53 etc.: These feel like start-of-the-measure filler jumps that don't go to anything in particular. In fact, you could jump the 8ths before these, because there's a sound similar to the one on the other 8th jumps at 5.33, 6.40s etc. (You can hear a slide from 5.20 to 5.33s)
21.09s: This grace note doesn't seem to go to anything. There's 16th percussion at 20.93-21.06s that should be stepped instead.
22.66s: Ghost 8th. If you don't want to remove it, it at least shouldn't be the same arrow as the 4th before, because the 8th doesn't have the same melody pitch on it.
22.86s: 16th to the melody here instead of the 32nd.
22.99s: Missing a note to the trill. Also, the PR in it is backwards.
24.13s: Should be a 16th triplet, not 32nds. (The pitches actually go ABB but you shouldn't have a minijack that fast.)
24.66s: Missing note to the melody.
25.26s: Ghost note: the sound the trill goes to doesn't have a distinct note here.
25.93s: Trill should continue to this 16th.
26.09s: So you got rid of the grace note, but there was never a distinct note on the 32nd in the first place. The sounds start on the 16th at 26.06s, and there are percussion 16ths until 26.26s that you can step. With a 1234 pattern, it plays like the 16ths go to the synth's ascending frequency.
26.44s: The high and low notes in the trill are a 12th apart, so this shouldn't be 16ths.
26.86s: Shouldn't be a hand, because no sound is that emphasized here. Because you've been stepping singles to the solo, it would make more sense to step it with a grace note.
27.13s: 16th here, no 32nd.
28.26s: 8th here, not the 12th after.
28.79s: Should be three 16ths starting here rather than the off-rhythm notes.
29.03s: Should be a 12th or 32nd here, not the 8th after.
29.19s: It looks like this jump goes to the percussion, but you haven't been jumping the percussion before this (see 23.86s for a single on the same sound), and there's nothing warranting jumps in the solo.
29.53s: There's no solo note on the 16th, so the hand is wrong. If it's supposed to be to the percussion, that's on the previous 4th. Between the 4ths of 29.46 and 29.73s, the solo has four off-beat notes you can step instead.
29.99-30.95s: You shifted a few notes here by at most 22 ms (a 48th), but that's not enough. All your notes are late, 29.93s by a 32nd, 30.08s and 30.17s a 48th, 30.26s a 32nd, 30.36 and 30.44 a 3/64th, then 30.56-30.76s should be four 32nds each a 16th apart.
30.84-30.95s: The sound your off-beat notes go to here plays again at 31.19s (and it's not the solo's instrument), so you should step both or neither. If you do decide to step neither, then you could step a 16th gallop at 30.99s to the solo.
31.39s: 16th instead of 32nd again.
*52.12-52.92s: PR is backwards here.
*53.86-54.06s: Minitrill for PR here (and there's not one starting at 54.06s.)
*55.26, 56.46, 57.99, 62.66, 63.19s: No minitrill in the melody here.
*56.92-57.26, 61.92s: No triplets in the melody here.
*60.12, 61.46, 63.32s: There are peaks in the melody here that should be visible in the patterns.
65.72-80.66s: You didn't fix the PR here. 66.52, 66.66s etc. should be lower, and there are a lot of close repeated pitches that aren't the same jump, like 67.19 and 67.59s.
80.66-95.59s: Odd to take a layer out here when there are long stretches of singles that sound the same as the all-doubles of the previous section. One of these sections should be changed up for better climax theory. (Using hands to the new melody starting at 80.92s wouldn't be too much.)
*95.59-104.92s: The new layering here works well.
119.45-127.98s: The hands are too much for such a soft break section (It's softer than the intro.) It's good that you differentiated this section from 110.92-119.45s with the extra layering, but you should try doing it the other way around, by taking more out of the earlier section so you don't need hands.
*130.12, 131.18s etc: These minitrills should only be five 16ths long, because they go to the triplets you stepped earlier, which don't go past the 4th.

[6.5/10] Arcanum Guardian / LeaF // VisD
// The addition of jumps to the bass helps, but there's still some inconsistent layering.
6.57s: 16th here; the 32nd is late.
16.84-18.42s: Pitches go ABCDCE here, so 18.10 should be the same jump as 17.47, not 16.84s (and then 17.79s would be on left).
21.18s: Now that you are layering the bass more, even though there's no melody note here, you could still put a single to the bass.
23.39-23.55s: Because you changed 18.42s, maybe do the same here, because it's similar.
24.02s: Missing 16th. Because the bass is only on 23.79-23.94s, 23.71s could also be a single.
25.52, 26.15s: These 8ths don't have the melody on them (well, it's really soft at 25.52, but at 1.0x I hear the melody more as a gallop than a triplet) and shouldn't be jumped in the strict layering you seem to be doing (the three layers of melody, down-beat synth, and snare). Also, these two beats should not be a part of the anchor to the melody.
26.63s: At first I didn't hear the extra synth sound on this note and was wondering why there was just this one melody note by itself that was jumped. The [34][23][12] pattern masks the fact that there's something more than the descending melody that the jump goes to, so this would be better as a [14].
26.94, 27.57s: Shouldn't be the same jump to distinguish 27.57s for having a melody note.
29.00s: Jump to bass/synth layered.
29.31-30.42s: The pitches are just BACA repeated here, so all the down-beat jumps should be the same.
31.21-31.52s: Maybe change up the patterns around here so this can be [34]2[13].[12] for PR (would have to move 31.05s to 2).
31.68s: A jump here is necessary to be consistent with the jump you put at 26.63s.
31.84-32.00s: Highest note here should be the 16th, ACB instead of ABC.
32.31s: Should be anchored to 32.47s because they share a pitch.
32.94s: Hand here? It's the start of the loud stuff, which makes it worthy of more emphasis.
34.05s: Anchor to the previous hand because of the shared bass note.
35.71s: Three four-note trills starting here for PR rather than generic trills to the bass.
44.31-46.21s: Looks like you ignored some percussion here on purpose, but at least add in the bass at 44.47 and 45.73s to make the rhythm feel right.
47.42s: Jump to the same sound as the previous 16th. You had the jump here before you changed it to 24ths.
48.10-48.42s: Should be AABC (not ABBC) for PR.
48.73-49.36s: Maybe step the bass rhythm here instead. Feels weird to start in the middle of the bass to a sound that isn't distinctly 16ths.
49.36s: Hand to the crash here. This shouldn't go un-emphasized. (Two judges asked you to add it last time, and I can't see why you wouldn't.)
52.36s: Jump to bass/melody.
58.13s: If you mean to jump all 16ths to the bass, you missed one here. (And it's a little odd to jump only the 16ths and none of the 8ths to the bass in 54.42-58.84s, but it kind of works.)
58.21, 58.52s: Hands to crashes here. Even though 58.84s has an extra chord on it that can put it a layer above 58.21s, the difference is not as great as the crashes making these a layer above all the previous jumps.
58.84-59.47s: The 4ths have different chord pitches and can be different jumps for PR.
60.34s: [23] jump to the chord should be on the 16th here.
62.31-62.63s: Irrelevant anchor.
69.57-79.999s: This is a repeat of 16 measures earlier, yet the layering here is different.
70.84s: Ghost note. You removed it at 50.63s but not here.
74.63-76.84s: The bass is jumped inconsistently here. Some 16ths are jumped, some aren't, one 8th is, others aren't.
78.34s-80.55s: Same stuff as 58.13, 58.21, 58.84, 50.34s.
97.92, 98.55, 99.18, 99.81s: More emphasis on these crashes.
102.73-105.26s: That you have only two different trills here suggests there being only two background pitches, but all four are different, and the trills should reflect that.
108.89-109.05s: Should be [34][12][34] because the pitch on the 16th is the lowest one.
110.63-111.26s: Try PRing these jumps to the chords. Making it more obvious that these follow the chords and not percussion makes it easier to get away with not emphasizing the bass anymore.
112.84s: Shouldn't be the same as the jump before it. This next set of 4th jumps go to a different sound than the previous ones.
115.05-115.36s: Don't jump the 16ths here so you can PR the other jumps to the melody and end on a hand. That should fit better.

[7/10] Blue / Au5 & Fractal // DossarLX ODI
#OFFSET:-0.065; (-15 ms)
// The layering is good except at the end. The patterns are nicely playable.
11 seconds is a bit long of a wait.
19.25-20.62s: The two ascents here should be descents.
20.62-21.65s: The sound the 32nds go to is descending. Rhythm suggestion: There's that synth that does x.xx.xxx on the 8ths, so step 32nds between the echoes of each pitch (i.e. 20.62-20.96 and 21.13-21.47s) so you don't have one long 4321 roll that ends arbitrarily. Then, 21.52s looks like a ghost note to the percussion, so that can be removed.
21.99s: Playtesting the file, all this 16th stream felt like it didn't go to anything because the sound is so soft.
32.96-38.10s: Even here, the percussion the 16ths go to is very soft.
63.47, 63.65s: Repeated pitch and should be the same arrow.
75.13s: Different sound than the previous two jumps and could be a different jump.
79.07, 79.59s: Jumps. These are more emphasized than the jump you have at 80.62s.
87.22s: Reverse the roll for PR.
97.42s: Something like what I suggested for 20.62s would work here too. The 32nds to the bass kind of get lost here.
109.77-131.03s: Inconsistent jumping to the kick. You jump them in the middle of the 110.80-111.66s 16ths but not at 116.29-117.32s. You don't jump the 8th if there's a kick on a 4th next to it, so you jump 113.72s but then you miss 119.20s. Same things in the repeat.
110.45, 121.43s: Different percussion sound and shouldn't be a part of the anchor.

[*7/10] Breathe / Two Thirds // DossarLX ODI
// Almost all the patterns are either ascending or alternating, and you really shouldn't need to simplify it that much, especially when it gets in the way of PR.
18.37-19.41s: Pitches are different from 14.21-15.25, so this pattern should be different.
26.69-27.73s etc.: Maybe mix up this pattern so it's not always [23]s and [14]s.
33.63-35.88, 39.18-41.78s: Could use more PR here. It's just 323432123.
36.40s etc.: Wouldn't hurt to fill in the notes to these chords.
43.86, 44.56s: 8ths to the percussion. Having three triplets is kind of a false rhythm.
59.30, 64.84s: The new sound you put 56.52 and 57.91s to doesn't play here, so these can be removed.
67.10, 69.87, 72.64, 75.42s: Ghost notes that can be removed.
78.02-88.77s: The stream doesn't really go to anything in this section, but it works as a way to increase the layering from the previous repeat I suppose.
89.12-108.54s: Same thing about all ascending/alternating patterns being unnecessary and in the way of PR.
91.90s etc.: Singles to chords won't get in the way of the rhythm, and they're more emphasized than all the 4ths you have after 110.62s.
109.93s: This is a measure after the last chord, so start here. A note every other 4th is enough. It's odd to have a longer string of 4ths to this fade-out than to the melodies from 89.12s.

[6/10] Crab Nicholson Extreme Sleepover / Kitsune^2 // GammaBlaster
// It's good that you fixed the rhythms and the layering errors, but you really should change up the layering more as the music changes.
2.96-3.12, 4.10-4.27, 7.53-7.69: Swap these two arrows for better PR.
5.53-6.27, 6.67-7.41s: Two ABCABC patterns here. That off-beat anchor is bad PR.
20.39-38.67s: Your layering here is exactly the same as the previous section except with grace notes to the main melody. Try just jumping the melody and not the percussion.
21.03s: These 12ths should be 16ths just like the 24ths are a 16th after the 48ths.
38.67-56.96s: Layering is exactly the same in this section although there's a new melody to follow. There are two melodies here, a low loud and constant one and softer rhythmic high one. You can try arranging the singles to the low melody and jump to the high melody.
56.96-75.24s: The main loud melody could be jumped, and you can figure out what to do with the other instrumentation.
75.24-93.53s: Repeat of earlier.
95.12s: Move to 1; it's the same pitch as 94.67s.
100.84s: Similar to above.
109.53-s: The subbeats aren't perfect, but it's fine. You get at most like 14 ms late.
114.85s: Arrow on the 64th here. The 24th is late. Or put a sub-beat on the 24th and move it to where the 64th would be.

[5/10] Drumhead Trial / Protest the Hero // Condoct
// Lots of unnecessary anchors in the patterns. The jump on the snare every 4th masks the rhythm of the vocals, which is detrimental to the fun factor. That layering is consistent, but your layering to other sounds is not. Some hands are especially inconsistent. The climax theory needs work; sections that are different in intensity shouldn't be stepped equally densely. Similar comments throughout the whole file, would take too long to mention everything.
6.36s: Missing 16th.
7.13s: You seem to be trying to jump the vocals, and there's a vocal note on the 16th here, not on the 8th/4th around it.
10.29, 11.76s: Long irrelevant anchors.
11.61-12.49s: Snares on the 4ths and vocal notes on the 8ths, but it would be better to ignore one of them, because the constant 8th jumps is too much. There are many instances of this.
13.30s: Vocal note on the 16th here.
22.64s: No vocal/snare here and should be a single.
28.37-28.82s: Shouldn't be trills, because that's not what the guitar is doing. It ends at 28.82s, so 28.89s is a ghost note and should be removed.
31.17, 31.61, 32.05s: I'd think these vocal notes could use more emphasis than whatever else you have hands to, and repeats.
37.79s: Similar to 28.37s, it's not trills here.
53.52, 54.40s: These two have the same crash sound on them, yet one is a hand and one is a single.
59.48s: Missing 16th.
73.08s: Just like 28.37s, and 73.60s is a ghost note.
76.61s: This note doesn't have the same guitar sound on it and should not be a part of the previous anchor.
82.49s: Same as 37.79s.
94.90s: Ghost note. Bass doesn't start until the following 16th. The staircase should start on the 16th so 95.29s is a valley.
95.88s: There shouldn't be a minitrill that continues behind this beat. Also the anchor is long and irrelevant.
120.98s: Jumping the rhythm of the kick here would be more interesting than jumping the cymbal every 8th, which you've been doing a lot of.
146.07-148.03s: Compared to how dense your jumps have been, this is oddly light for such a loud guitar/percussion thing.
154.01s: The "VY" of "heavy" is on the 16th here.
159.70s: "The" is on the 16th here. Watch out for more vocal syncopation like this.
175.68s: The guitar gets louder here, so there should be some kind of layering shift for climax theory.
200.78-223.91s: You need to lighten the layering here a lot. This is a break, way softer than anything else in the music. It should not be as dense as the chorus and verses.

[8/10] Flame Repellent / Fearofdark // PrawnSkunk
// Layering is consistent, patterns are fun, color accents work, just some simplification was unnecessary.
17.20, 17.32s: Same pitch and should be the same arrow
25.45, 25.70s: Same as above.
44.94s: Ghost note.
98.19-99.94s: I can understand the misrhythm to make the file easier, but at least make sure the trills are in the right places. (e.g. 98.94-99.19s should be a trill.)
108.19, 108.69, 109.82, 110.07s: Soft percussion notes here you can step.
122.82-123.20s: PR this to the main melody, because you can't really hear the sound the minijacks go to here.
153.20-154.20s: Another thing that could be 32nds. The pitches are four sets of ascending notes, 2-6-5-4, so in 24ths, 1-5-4-3. That would be more accurate than a staircase.
154.20-155.95s: Instead of stepping 32nds or causing inaccurate polyrhythms with 24ths here, I'd at least step all the 16ths: the xx.xx.xx.xx. pattern of minijacks can be distinctly heard.

[6.5/10] I / LeaF // DarkZtar
// The jumping is good, but there are a lot of missing singles and still the BPMs are incorrect, causing your steps to be as late a 20 ms at times. The BPM needs to change to about 222.40 for one beat at 23.90s. BPM should be 240 again at 28.51s, the 238 is wrong and probably a product of trying to fix for the missing BPM change earlier.
30.01s: Roll should change direction here.
31.20, 31.70, 32.70, 32.95, 34.95, 35.70: Missing 16ths to triplet sounds.
42.99, 43.74, 46.53, 47.35: Missing notes to the kick
38.58-38.86s: This should be distinct from the rolls around it, because the sound changes here. After 38.89s, the next change isn't until 39.20s. Also, the BPM seems to slow down after 38.76s to like 235 BPM. The rolls should end at 39.534s.
57.53-65.00s: BPM should be 225 here. And then it goes to 230.
79.32s: You have this beat at the right place, but the stuff before it is off.
83.006: This beat is 9 ms early.
86.263s: Beat should be here. .... And so on.

[8.5/10] Kodomoraibu / Onoken ft. Asami // Razor
// Fun stuff, good climax theory, good green usage.
24.65s: Make this a jump for consistency with 27.94s.
27.12s: Single; no percussion here.
42.32-45.20s: Vary the column of the jack for playability. 42.32-43.56s is especially left-hand biased.
56.71s: Maybe unlayer the jump to the kick here because it's the only 4th in 56.30-58.76s that doesn't have a snare.
95.25-102.21s: These can be easily stepped as 12ths with ddream.

[5.5/10] Lexus Cyanixs / sakuzyo // Reshiram
#OFFSET:-1.105; (-12 ms)
// A lot of the layering feels wrong, like most of the quads going to soft sounds. With how much buzzroll steps you have, you may as well step them all completely. Most of the steps happen in 70 seconds, which is unnecessarily short for a cut.
2.79, 3.37s: Should be on-beat, not 64ths.
6.04s: 24th, not a 16th.
7.60s: Missing 8th.
8.42s: This percussion hit is louder than the one at 8.09s, so it's odd for this one to be a single.
9.76, 11.09s: Quads are a little much here.
13.42s: Incomplete buzz steps.
39.76s: Not sure why you suddenly stop jumping the percussion here?
40.42s: Grace note is before the beat.
41.76, 43.09s: Shouldn't be quads. 44.92s is the first quad-worthy note.
52.26s: This percussion is kind of soft, and it plays again at 52.59s, which you don't do anything special for.
57.42, 60.09, 64.09, 65.42s: Again, way too soft for quads. Sometimes you miss percussion because of them, like at 64.01s.
58.42s: Uhhhhhh.
66.09s: Incomplete buzz steps.

[7.5/10] Moonglow / Venetian Snares // samurai7694
#OFFSET:-0.104; (-16 ms)
// The file is very consistent, but the music is pretty repetitive and can be cut. The constant layering with the snare gets old fast.
41.50s: A new melody starts here. Maybe start putting jumps to that instead of the percussion to shake up the layering you've been doing.
45.90, 51.03s etc: If you do unlayer stuff to the percussion, then this jump could be removed completely to emphasize the break in the melody.
82.54-85.84s: You only have two different jumps in this section (and repeats), but the [34]s have two different percussion sounds on them, so you should separate those.
111.94s: There's a break in the horn melody here.
118.63-119.64, 146.11-146.84, 149.96, etc: Can step some off-rhythm notes to the horn here.

[5/10] Po Pi Kouka de Uchi no Miku wa Kyou no Genki Desu / daniwell // 0
#OFFSET:-0.057; (-7 ms)
// The layering is not fun. The patterns are not fun.
3.41s: Now that percussion has come in, you should treat the two melodies from before as a single layer. e.g. 4.88s should be a single and 5.09s a jump. Melody+melody doesn't have the same emphasis in the music as melody+percussion.
6.77s: Really, this should be the first hand of your file, because this crash should be emphasized more than the snare.
There's just so much layering going on here that the jumps no longer feel like they follow anything in particular. And it's like that for 34 seconds until the layering changes. It almost starts to make sense here, with vocal + every-other-4th percussion, but more strict layering makes it look inconsistent. And then the layering changes back at 47s and is just a repeat of previous instrumentation.
22.50-25.18s: Example of a spot with way too much [14]. And you have areas where the layering creates long, irrelevant trills.

[6/10] Reincarnated Girl and Reincarnated Boy / CosMo // Yulanik
// Fun on playtest, but then I notice a lot of weird layering and some rhythmic errors in the editor. Also, you didn't step rolling percussion in the middle of phrases but stepped it when it's just be itself (79.60s), which is kind of odd.
7.60s: Should be [24] because the following 12th is lower in pitch, so the first 12th can be on 1 (lower than the jump).
9.10, 9.35; 10.35, 10.60s: Arrows this close shouldn't repeat when the pitches are different.
11.85s: Could be a jump, because it has a chord on it like 12.10s.
12.85s: You have a pseudo-hand here, which has the same strength as a hand, so remove a 4th here to make this a pseudo-jump.
15.60s: There are two piano notes between this 12th and the next 4th, so you should step those instead of the 32nd grace note. which is not as audible.
17.10s: There's a percussion roll after this 12th you can step.
18.35s: At 1.0x, you can't really hear the grace note, so the 32nd can be removed (and move the 12th to not anchor it to the previous jump.)
24.60-32.60s: Layering in this section is a little erratic. You seem to be trying to jump the snare and guitar, but it's not done consistently. Switch to an adjacent difficulty and step the guitar rhythm in one column and the snare in another. Any beat with both a snare and guitar should be jumped (e.g. add 24.72, 26.35, 26.35s), and a guitar note without a snare on it shouldn't be unless it's emphasized in the music (e.g. unlayer 25.22, 26.47, 26.85s).
25.10-25.35s: There's some rolling percussion here, and the snare/guitar are not layered, so this can all be singles.
25.47s: Note here to the guitar rather than the 16th.
25.85s: Example of when it works to have a jump on a non-snared guitar note, because the closest guitar note is a whole 4th away. Because you chose to jump the guitar here and not the lone snare on the 8th before it (25.72s) is another reason why you shouldn't jump the lone snare at 25.35s, for consistency. (You can always try different layering schemes in different difficulties so you can compare them.)
26.22s: Some more rolling percussion around here you can step.
27.60-28.10s: This should be a 12th trill for PR.
27.97s: There's a snare on the 8th here you can step between the 12ths.
28.72-29.35s: In this range, the start and end are should be snare+guitar jumps (you miss the jump at 29.35s). Then, 28.97 is a snare, and the other three 8ths are guitar. I'd suggest jumping the snare because it's just the one extra jump. Also, at 28.72s, your [12] jump is completely shared with the previous [124] hand which makes it look like the sound is repeated, but it's not; the guitar has an 8th minijack with the following 4th. So a pattern like [124][13]3 would be more accurate.
29.22s: More rolling percussion.
29.60s: No jump here. It seems to just go to a bass note, but there's no guitar or snare here.
29.85-30.35s: You lose the guitar+snare jumps at 29.72, 30.22, 30.47s by jumping the bass on the 4ths, which is fine, but you should have a descending pattern in the jumps for PR with the bass to make it more obvious that that's what the jumps go to. (You could also try jumping the 8ths to the snare instead and see which you think fits better.)
30.60-31.10s: The guitar does 12ths here.
31.10-31.35s: It's a bit odd to jump the guitar here, because there's a lull in the snare.
31.60s: This 4th has a repeated guitar note with the following 8th. The other 4ths between the hands don't have a guitar note on it, so 31.60s can be a jump to distinguish it from the others. (Then you'd have to change the hand patterns to not cause three-note jacks.)
32.22, 32.35s: These two have snare+guitar+crash and should both be hands to go with the others.
32.97s: Jump the percussion here instead of the previous 4th, because it's louder here.
33.60s: I don't hear anything special about this jump that should make it white.
33.66s: Missing 16th to percussion.
34.04s: Ghost note, no percussion here.
34.10s: This could be a pseudo-jump with a grace note before the 4th.
34.60-35.10s: Missing notes to the piano here.
34.97s: This snare has a different quality than the following two 8th jumps to the snare, so this one shouldn't be the same jump.
35.60-36.10s: This should be 12ths.
36.36s: Even though the pseudo-jump is accurate, the sound is so light that it should just be a single.
40.60, 43.72s: Make these white, same sound as your other white jumps.
37.10, 37.60, 38.10, 40.47s: For this section, I think unlayering these jumps that don't go to the snare will help it flow better.
40.35s: Jump to the cymbal here.
41.35s: Doesn't hae the cymbal on it like the other hands, so this one should just be a jump.
41.35-41.60, 41.85-42.10s: Rolling percussion here. (16ths work for all the sounds like this.)
43.47s: cymbal+snare+vocal here and should be a hand to go with the following 8ths. Then, the two 4ths around 43.47s should be singles.
46.72-46.85s: A sound like this can be a 24th burst.
46.85s: No vocal note on this 4th, so it should be a single.
47.22, 48.22s: Missing vocal jumps.
48.35-52.60s: Layering here is perfect, just missed some rolling percussion starting at 50.10s.
55.35s: Can be white to go with the sound the previous two white notes go to.
60.35s: Rolling percussion here.
60.60-62.60s: Two spots of missing 16ths to percussion here. And the layering should be looked at again. I'd think 60.97 and 61.72s should be more emphasized.
64.60-68.60s: The light layering here makes sense for climax theory, but the 16th at 64.97s should be stepped (it has one of the same sounds as the previous hand) and 67.97s removed (no vocal note).
69.54s: 32nd to rolling percussion here.
70.97s: Missing 16th to percussion.
73.22s: Missing 16th to bass kick.
75.47s: Rolling percussion.
78.35s: Should have a minijack with the following 16th to the percussion.
80.60-96.60s: Try reanalyzing your layering here. There are so many different sounds, and it should be easier to follow.
96.85, 97.22s: The two minijack things shouldn't be in the same column, because the pitch on 97.35s is higher than 96.97s (The jumps can be repatterned for better PR, too.)
97.72s: Jump to the vocal here instead of the snare on the following 8th (for consistency with 99.72s)
100.60-103.60s: This first hand is good because it has a crash on it, but 101.60, 102.60, and 103.60s don't and can be jumps.
101.60-102.60s: Shouldn't have three minijacks in the same column in a row when the music doesn't warrant it.
104.60-108.60s: The BPM seems to go back to 240 here, because the snare doubles up. The snare slows down again at 108.60.
108.10s: Rolling percussion.
108.60-109.60s: This section is made dense with that every-8th cymbal, and then it cuts out after 109.60, making the next section lighter. So it would be better climax theory for 109.85, 109.97s to not be jumps.
110.60s: This crash is emphasized enough to be a hand.
111.35s: There are some fast piano notes here.
113.35, 115.60, 116.35s: These three have audible grace notes. Right now 113.35s is a pseudo-quad and could have a note taken out (also the grace note is a little early), but they should all be either hands or pseudo-hands for consistency.
122.10s: Missing note to guitar/bass.
125.89s: This 48th is a ghost note.
126.19s: 64th here instead of the 12th. It's a grace note to 126.10s.
126.35-126.60s: This should be three 16ths.
127.85s: Nothing warrants a jump here.
127.85-128.60: The guitar plays (something very close to) straight 12ths here. There's no 24th roll in the guitar at 128.47s.
128.85s: Should just be 16ths, because there aren't distinct notes here, so the 24ths are kind of fast.
130.10s: No jump here, doesn't have a snare or guitar note on it.
131.47s: Jump to the snare on this 8th, also has a guitar note on it.
133.47s: Jump-jack to the snare with the previous 8th.
137.72s: Missing 16th to the melodies.
145.85s: Nothing distinguishes this 8th from the other 16ths in the music in these two measures, so this should be a single.
149.60-157.60s: Try reworking the layering here; this is hard to follow.

[6.5/10] The Revenge of Mister Foxsky / Foxsky // Xiz
X Don't forget to add song information in the file to credit the artist (even though it's obvious enough for this one) and so your username doesn't appear in the subtitle (also you forgot the "The" in the song title).
// Anything that isn't a repeat of a suggestion you got last time is marked with an asterisk. Adding the missing jumps in 50.31-56.85s (the only suggestion of mine you took) and unlayering 45.94-49.76 were good. A few changes didn't work as well.
11.03-19.76s: Tone down the layering here for climax theory with the next section.
15.03s: You were asked to move this note, but you should also move the 24ths around it out of the same column to emphasize the uniqueness of this sound on the 12th.
31.13-31.49s should be a swing trill but not the stuff around it. Also, the 8th anchor around here is too long.
31.76, 36.13s: Maybe unlayer these two jumps, because it's just the kick and soft melody, which is less than all the other 4th jumps have.
33.40s: After here, that sound changes pitch, so it shouldn't continue as the same trill.
34.49s: 48th here instead of a jump on the 24th.
40.22-41.58s: Shouldn't be a long 8th anchor. Try to anchor the kicks properly. Also, maybe put the white arrows on 4 because it's a higher-pitched sound.
40.99s: Missing 48th to snare.
44.22s: Same as 31.13s. Also the PR here is backwards.
50.31s: Hand to the crash here.
*57.13s: You added this jump though the sound the other jumps you added doesn't play here (so make this one a single again.)
56.85-57.94s: Break up the unnecessary 8th anchor here.
73.76s: The sound that plays the same pitch doesn't get loud until here, so it should be trills before this.
76.49-85.22s: The section after this has "hey"s on top of the claps, so this section should be less dense somehow for climax theory. Try following the melody of the horn more closely instead of just the usual gallopy hi-hat patterns from before.
*84.94s: White note to the loud "hey" here to match 93.67s.
102.49s: Ghost note. Remove for consistency with 98.13s.
*107.49s: Ghost note.
76.49-111.40s: 16 measures of break, half of which could easily be cut out, and then when making each section more dense than the previous one for climax theory, you won't end up at jumps every 4th/8th, which is too much for a break.
*109.22-110.03s: With the way your layering currently is leading up to this point, the jumps here made sense and didn't need to be removed. But maybe if you change up the layering, you won't need the jumps here.
*113.85s: Removing the minijacks works. Didn't occur to me that they weren't even accurate. The wub sound is really a 64th grace note after each 8th. (Other judges suggested 32nd triplets, but that's the buzz sound, and I think you were meaning to step the wub.)
119.58-128.85s: There are definitely other sounds you can accent here with jumps so it's not all hands. Also all those hands don't need to all be hands, some have more emphasis than others.
120.94s: All these jacks could be triplets to not cause an odd difficulty spike.

// A lot of odd layering, some PR needs work, colors sometimes work but not always. I got worn out after a while, so you should still look over the layering and stuff in sections I didn't specifically mention. PM me if you'd like more advice or want your fixes looked at before you send it in again.
You can fix the sync of the intro in ddream, because the BPM isn't constant. You won't need subbeats. I'm giving rhythms based on the 4th beats being in the right place.
5.87-11.60s: There's a low piano note on every 4th, so each 4th could be a jump. At least 5.87 and 10.61s should be jumps so you've consistently jumped every other 4th.
5.87 and 6.26s share a pitch, so they should share an arrow (the ascending 1234 is inaccurate).
8.04s does not share a pitch with 8.24s, so this shouldn't be a minijack.
10.41-10.61s: Should be a minijack because of the repeated pitch.
11.60s: Probably should have a jump here because the note is emphasized for being the end of the phrase.
13.36s: Can be a jump because it has a chord similar to 13.59s.
15.250s: 64th here rather than the 16th.
15.759, 15.963s: 64th and 192nd here; Your old sync has these notes in the right place, but there's a 4th at 16.184s, not at 16.218s, which makes the old note values late.
16.879, 18.510s: Jumps should be on the 32nds here.
19.98-25.86s: 19.98s is the end of a measure and 25.86s is the start of the next phrase, so you should have eight beats here, so, in the SM editor, 25.86s will be properly placed at the start of a measure. (You have seven beats.) Doesn't effect the quality of the file, but it helps people who judge in the SM editor for measures to line up.
22.53-24.53s: I'd put these on 321, because it's the sound of countdown.
26.09s: Jump here, because the guitar does three notes, not two.
27.09s: This is a low note/valley in the melody and shouldn't be in the middle of a 321.
27.86-28.75s: Jump either the guitar or percussion here. You have xXxXXXXXx, but try XxXxXxXXX or XXxXxXxxX (28.75s should be a jump regardless, because it has a crash on it.)
29.09s: Doesn't sound special enough to be green rather than a 12th.
31.31-31.98s: The melody is ascending here, so the minitrill is incorrect.
32.20s: Same pitch as 31.98s. These two are high notes/peaks, so the peak at 32.31s is incorrect.
32.92, 37.70, 38.36, 39.03s: Missing percussion roll things.
37.70, 39.03s: There's a "la" on the 8th here, so step it consistently with the other "la"s on 8ths. Because of this, 37.20-37.53s may as well just be 12ths.
40.53-40.86s: Long missing roll here.
42.09, 42.31s: The fact that these first two green arrows go to this new hit sound makes me think you're emphasizing them with color, but then you just go green-green, purple-purple, green-green to nothing in particular.
44.36, 45.70s: More "la"s on 8ths.
47.20-48.53s: These 12th jumps don't seem to go to significant sounds. A jump on 47.53s to the crash would make more sense.
48.86-49.75s: The 12th anchor here musically irrelevant and makes for awkward patterns.
53.53-60.53s: Rework the PR here.
53.86-54.86s are all different pitches and shouldn't be an anchor like this.
56.20-56.59s: Rhythms here is inaccurate. There should be five arrows in a descending pattern.
59.20-60.20s should also be a descending pattern.
63.20-72.53s: Like before, these green arrows don't feel significant. You're doing every-other-4th jumping here, but there's no instrument that's doing that. And there's some rolling percussion in here you can step.
74.86-76.86s: This pattern is unneedingly right-hand biased.
76.98s: These aren't the same pitches as 74.31, so the patterns shouldn't be the same.
79.86, 80.42s: No snare or la on these, so these should be singles.
80.20s: Jump to snare+la.
82.20-83.86s: Only need jumps on 4ths here, no snare or anything on the 12ths.
85.20s: No snare or la here and can be a single.
86.09s: Could be a jump to the snare.
86.31s: Nothing warrants the color usage here. (If it's for accurate rhythms, because Flash is frame-based, variation this small doesn't matter.)
86.64s: Missing 12th to percussion.
91.20-92.53s: Lots of rolling in here to step.
> Insert me getting worn out.
123.20s: Pitch of the 8ths changes here.
127.20, 128.53s: The pitches change here, so the patterns shouldn't continue as 1-4.

42.66-43.17s: It's weird for all of these to be the same jump, when at 40.83-41.30s you have three different jumps to the same percussion sound. You undid one minitrll at 42.86-43.56s but not the other. Now you have the BABC contour in the wrong place: the 12th after the 8th is the high note.
50.20-50.67s: Good that you removed the hands here.

[8/10] Truth (xKore Remix) / Tristam // Razor & Xiz
// Pretty fun, only one rhythmic error, but some percussion jump relevance could be better.
2.18-2.95, 13.15s, 15.89, 18.63, 21.38: Should be 3/16ths.
23.09s: Different percussion sound here and shouldn't be a part of the anchor into the 4th jump.
24.20, 25.58, 26.95s etc.: These feel like ghost notes because the percussion is much softer. Same beat of every measure.
25.49, 30.98, 36.46s: Different percussion sound than the two 4th jumps around it and should be a different jump.
33.72-34.75s: Too many of the same 4th jump in a row.
There are other instances of repeated jumps to different sounds in 23.43-45.38, but those are the most noticable.
46.06-55.66s: Maybe step the gasping sound so the NPS isn't so low here.
58.75, 61.49, 64.23s: Shouldn't be part of an anchor to show that it's a different percussion sound.
67.66, 73.15, 78.63, 84.12, 95.09s: Reverse the second triplet. The four 8th jumps in a row imply each one has the same value, but the first note of each triplet is more emphasized.
118.74, 119.09s: Different percussion sounds and should be different jumps.
121.83s: Like 25.49s.

[7.5/10] unisonote / onoken // bmah
// Pretty fun, but there's some inconsistent layering and stuff here and there.
11.67s: With the louder violin getting jumps now, the 8th jump to this really soft piano note becomes unnecessary.
14.88, 20.60s: Missing jump to the new melody.
15.77, 21.49s: Move out of the anchor.
17.56s: The new melody has a note here along with the new one from the previous phrase, so this could be a jump.
22.38, 22.92s: You seem to be jumping to the new piano, so these should be singles (no piano note.)
33.81, 34.35, 35.42s: You didn't do AABB jumps to different percussion sounds at 30.95-31.49s, so these jumps to the snare should be different.
46.49s: Make this white? Similar sound to 45.24s, which it looks like you stepped white to not have to step it as a roll.
49.17, 50.60s: These two don't have the snare or slow-string sound, so these could be singles to avoid having a jump every 4th to different sounds.
51.85, 52.56, 53.99s: Missing 8ths to low piano.
52.92s: No piano note here. And you don't step this percussion sound at 54.35s, so this note can be removed (and should be if you add in the other notes you missed to the piano.)
55.42s: Missing 8th to piano that can be anchored to the previous jump.
59.17, 60.60s: These two are kick+melody, so remove one jump or add the other.
62.92, 63.45s: Could be [34] pseudo-jumps instead of pseudo-hands, because they're not as emphasized as the other hands.
85.60-87.74s: Should be filled in with 8ths for better climax theory, because it's louder than the previous section.
110.06, 110.42s: Could be jumps, because you go straight from singles to hands on the 8ths.
121.67s: Filler note would be better placed here, not in the air where there's no sound.

// Rather than cutting off in the middle of the ending, you could cut out half of all the repetition of each phrase. Because there is a lot of repetition.
// You added hands but only have two in the whole file (29.31, 39.68s). As soon as you put hands in, you then need to be consistent for the rest of the file. There are a few other layering things and some small PR things. Good that you removed the 48th rolls.
4.66s: You jumped main melody + bell at 12.44+2m and 20.22+2m, so this should also be a jump.
24.12s: Hand to crash.
24.60s+8m: That you ignore the soft percussion after 16ths to the melody here would mean you should ignore it at 38.87s too.
28.49s: Shouldn't be a minitrill.
29.63s: Is a chord like the 8ths around it and should be jumped also.
39.36s: No chord/kick here and shouldn't be a jump (You don't jump the snare in other places.)
44.55s: Something like [23]41[34]21[234] for consistent layering wouldn't be too difficult here.
47.47-69.52s: Maybe step hands to crashes in this section.
51.36, 51.60s+2m: Different pitches and should be different arrows.
54.68, 63.77s: Missing 16th to synth.
68.95, 69.04s: Mirror these two arrows to be the same as 68.71s, because they're the same pitches.
69.52s: Hand to crash again. Could use some hands in this section, too.
74.06s: Jump to the same instrument as the previous 3/16th jumps.
75.20s: Jump to the piano chord on the 8th here rather than on any of the 16ths, which aren't as emphasized in the music.
76.98s: Jump to the piano chord like the following 4th jump.
79.58s: Jump to the piano chord like the previous three 4th jumps.
73.58-74.06s: Pitches on the 16ths go AB.ABAB here, not BA.ABAB
77.55s: Shouldn't anchor with the following 16ths, but 78.04s should (same pitch).
95.47s: More hand crashes.
105.85-106.82s: Don't put minijacks to the background melody, because they're not as distinguishable here.
113.63s: Main melody + long synth, which you jump at 118.82s but not here. And because you jump them here, that means you should probably jump them in the intro, too.

// Mostly needs a lot of pattern work, and the layering in some phrases is still odd.
// Instead of ending the file at 120.55s, which is kind of an anti-climactic part, you could cut repeated parts out and be able to include the ending. Any eight-measure phrase that's the same four measures repeated twice (or 16-measure phrase that's the same eight measures twice) can be cut in half, like I did with Sleep Tight (cut from 3:02 to 1:56). Cutting will significantly decrease how much copy-and-pasting can happen, which is something you got dinged for last time. If you'd like me to make a cut for you, PM me.
0.05-0.83s: Should all be a 32nd later like the rest of the intro.
1.03s+2m(8): The 3/32nd rhythm on these is right, but the arrows should be a 64th earlier.
1.30s+2m(4): Rhythm is 19/96ths and should start on the 48th (cyan, orange, purple).
1.93s+2m(4): These sets of arrows go to alternating sounds, so the three arrows at 4.45 and 9.48s can be on 4.
1.93s+4m(2): The rhythm of these four arrows isn't quite even, but the first two arrows are early and the last one is late (should be like cyan, yellow, purple, orange).
4.45s+4m(2): These arrows are early; rhythm is 15/96ths and should start on the 24th (pink, white, cyan).
10.11-10.90+2m(4)s: Should be a long anchor to go to the sound you put jacks to before. (Also note that 10.90 should not be anchored to 11.06s.)
11.06s+2m(4): If you do make these 64ths here as suggested earlier, then an arrow from these jumps should be taken out because the 64th note would make it a pseudo-hand, which would be too much.
11.84, 12.00s: These arrows go to different sounds and shouldn't be the same arrow.
16.41-17.66s: Maybe fill in the 8ths here (that you avoided to not cause polyrhythms) because of the new snare hitting every 8th.
18.61s: When you make these 64ths here, then the only extra note you need is the 18.69s 16th, because the other 64ths are close enough to the 8th and second 16th.
20.26, 20.42s: These two 16ths are ghost notes. (Just like how there are no 16ths in 22.70-23.01s, which also means 20.34s should be a jump.)
20.73s+2b(2)+2m(8): If you listen to just the sounds on the 16ths, you can hear that the first two of each set (every two beats, twice) are always the same pitch (only time they're not is 24.82s+4m(4)), so yeah, the trills from earlier were wrong, but you should have more patterns like ABCBAD or ABCBDC, where the first two 16ths are on the same arrow. The only time the light percussion on the 8ths repeat a sound are at 24.74s+4m(4), so there shouldn't be any minitrills in the patterns in these 16 measures.
22.23-23.01s: These don't need to be alternating to prevent longer anchors, because 22.38 and 22.70s are different sounds.
25.69s: Shouldn't be a minitrill, and the five-note anchor is irrelevant.
30.41s+1m(8): There's a hi-hat that plays every down beat in these eight measures except on this beat, when it plays on the 16th after instead. Half of them are covered by jumps to the kick, but the other half you can remove (31.67s+2m(4)) to further distinguish the rhythm of these eight measures from the previous eight. Also, I suggested for the first two 16ths of each pattern to be the same, but for these, because you get a gallop pair (xx.xx), you can have the two 16ths around the missing 8th be the same instead (13.32 is easier to play than 12.31).
39.22-40.00s: The 16th at 39.92s isn't as loud as 39.30, 39.61s (and also because 39.30s has the down-beat hi-hat on it), the 41[34]. pattern shouldn't repeat three times here.
40.32s+1m(7)+8m(2): You put a hand on the start of seven measures to the background guitar, but the main melody doesn't play on them except for the start of every four measures, but really the hand is only necessary at the start of every eight measures when there's a crash, which is why the judges last time didn't think your hands every four measures fit.
40.32-60.45s: As for the jump layering in this section, it's inconsistent. You don't jump a lot of 8ths to the main guitar melody 41.10+2b(11), always after the triplet/hand (except for 43.62s, which you do jump), but then you don't jump 43.78 to the main melody plus every-other-4th snare.
Suggestion for jumping both the main guitar melody and start-of-every-measure background guitar: anchor jumps to the main melody together (except maybe the triplets) but don't anchor the background guitar (e.g., starting at 41.10s, [12][13][23][14][23]4[23]). This connects the main melody and makes it obvious a jump at 41.58s goes to a different sound. Layering more dense than you currently have it will work with patterning like this.
40.48, 40.63s+4m(2): These two should be anchored together to the background guitar and shouldn't anchor with 40.32, 40.79s.
48.42, 49.05, 50.31s: The sound on these 16ths is so light that they can't be heard at 1.0x, so these 16ths should be removed.
48.03-50.07s: Odd to have stopped jumping the triplets to the main melody here.
48.03-48.97, 49.28-50.39s: Because of the background guitar, it wouldn't be weird if these were long anchors.
49.68s: Jump here is wrong; nothing is emphasized here.
50.39-60.45s: Same stuff as previous section.
60.45-80.59s: Your layering in this section is definitely better than before but there are still some inconsistencies. The first three jumps, 60.77, 61.24, 61.40s go to the snare (61.24s also has the kick on it), but then you jump just-kick at 61.71 and 62.50s but not at 61.56s (which can be anchored to 61.71s because of the kick) and you don't jump the snare at 61.87 or 62.81s. You didn't even step the gallop in the kick at 62.26s. You'd likely end up with too many jumps if you tried consistently jumping the snare and kick.
For the patterns in this section, watch for irrelevant minitrlls (e.g. 61.71, 66.27, 68.63s) and anchors (often caused by minitrills, e.g. 72.57, 78.07s). Listen to the pitches of the scratches again (and at a slightly slower rate) to hear if arrows really should be repeated.
Consider stepping the 16ths to the percussion, especially when it doesn't get in the way of disc-scratch rhythms. (You do have some 16ths that aren't to disc scratches already, e.g. 63.99, 68.87, 72.49s.)
65.25, 73.43, 75.32s: Missing 16ths to disc scratches.
70.52, 80.59s: Hand to crash.
90.66-100.10s: At first every 4th was a snare, but now there's a louder clap, so this section should be layered more than the previous one. Because of the difference between the snare and clap, it would make more sense to not jump all the snare at 80.59-90.34s. If for some reason you decide to unlayer the clap starting at 90.66s too, do add in the 32nds at 90.93s+1m(8) that you ignored.
84.05, 89.08s: Irrelevant anchor.
84.37-84.84s: The pitch is higher, so these shouldn't be in the same column as the previous 3/16ths.
85.62-89.08s: The synth is this pitch most of the time, and it would play better to have the arrows to this pitch on an inside column. (Because of the descents at 81.53s+1m, it would make sense for the main pitch to be on 3 so these can be 321.)
90.50, 94.28s+4m(2): Shouldn't anchor with the following jump.
95.38s: White note here for consistency with 100.41s.
100.73s: Hand to crash.
101.04s: Rather than putting a hand to the snare, just move the jump out of the jumpjack. The jumpjack itself is kind of overdone though.
101.51s: The sound from the intro that you're putting jumpjacks to only has five notes now, so it doesn't play around 101.51s, making it all the more odd that this is a hand.
101.67s+2m(8)s: Presumably, these go to the same 32nd things from the intro, but they are not audible at all here and should just be 16ths. Other than the sound you're putting 8th jump jacks to, the only sound from the intro I hear clearly is the one at 105.13s+4m(4). The other polyrhythms shouldn't be included.
The layering in this section also needs to be more consistent. You don't need to be creating hands through strict layering to create rhythms of emphasis that aren't there.

[6.5/10] Crucial / David MeShow remixed by Kaiben // VisD
// Has some PR problems, some layering is inconsistent, some missing arrows.
9.14s: This note is so soft you can probably remove it. The gallops should be emphasized, and the 32123 pattern doesn't do that.
18.55s: Minijack with the 8th for PR. Same for the other repeats of this.
18.71s: Shouldn't have 234 here if you want to have 234 at 19.94s. Different pitches, different patterns.
25.64s: Either have this arrow be shared with the jump at 26.24s for PR with the echoey sound or add in a 16th at 26.09s to the guitar on 3 and don't move 25.64s because it's a repeated guitar pitch.
28.34s: Similar to 9.14s. At least, it shouldn't be a minitrill.
37.79s: Shouldn't be a minitrill.
45.43s: Doesn't sound different from your other red jumps and shouldn't be white.
52.33s: Same as before.
65.83s: Missing jumps to this sound. You do jump it at 68.23s.
83.83s: White to go with your other every-four-measure whites to interesting sounds.
87.13s: Missing note.
92.68, 93.28s: Minijack with following 4th.
93.13s: No melody note here.
93.43s: White.
96.95s: Missing 32nd.
100.03s: Shouldn't be anchored with the following 16ths.
102.73s: Should be anchored with the previous 16th, not the following one.
103.03s: After here is a repeat of stuff that's already happened.
138.43s: Offbeat stuff here.
140.23s: Weird rhythm here shouldn't be 16ths.
141.43s: Soft sound should be a single. And because this is white, maybe you could make the fade-out alternate off-beat colors.

[8/10] DARK KNIGHT / taqumi // hi19hi19
// Simple and fun, but it's kind of funny how the vocal parts are so much lighter than everything else (because the rhythms in the music are that much simpler there), but maybe some increased layering would help, like some jumps to the vocals. Try some things in adjacent difficulties.
15.58s+2m(3), 25.02s: Would making these minijacks add that much to the overall difficulty? It'd be musically relevant.
27.88s: Lower in pitch than 28.05s and could be [13].
58.90s: You stop layering the guitar here despite layering it in the 25.52-47.10s.
59.49s: Missing 16th to percussion.

[6.5/10] Fighting of the Spirit / SSH // Reshiram
// Feels a little empty without some of the percussion stepped. Consistently missing a particular 4th and some 16th stuff gets missing randomly.
7.65s: Higher in pitch than 5.15s and should be a different pattern. Good PR in the intro otherwise.
13.75s: No reason to be white (that cymbal is realy soft; didn't notice it the first time, but still. Doesn't need to be emphasized.)
24.22s: Move this one out of the anchor so it's two 8th minijacks to the percussion.
24.69s: Missing 8th to a softer percussion/guitar sound.
25.79s+2m(8): Missing note to percussion you can anchor with the following 8th.
36.57-36.89s: You jump three eighths to the guitar here but not at 38.45 or 40.95s?
45.49-47.36s: Cymbal is too soft for jumps. The jumps make this more dense than the previous section.
50.80s+2m(8): Same as 25.79s
60.03s: Doesn't need to be a hand. Also it makes you miss a guitar 16th at 60.10s.
66.59s: Missing grace notes after this beat, so this shouldn't be a jump.
69.25s: Could follow the bass instead by doing AABB here.
73.32, 73.94s: Different pitches and should be different jumps.
74.18s: Ghost note?
80.04s: Similar to 60.03s.
80.82s+2m(4): Jumps like these, that don't go to a snare or guitar, inaccurately lengthening the guitar's line, aren't necessary.
81.29s: Missing triplet to bass starting here.
83.95s: Same as 25.79s.
87.14s: 16th here, not at 87.31s.
90.83s: hey
110.21s: Hand to crash.
114.28s: Missing 16th stuff in this beat.
127.02s: 16th here, not at 127.18s.
130.85s sup
140.08s: Same as 60.03s.
150.24-170.25s: The slow guitar is loud enough in this section that you can jump its rhythm like you jumped the loud guitar in the 60.18s section.
170.88s: how's life
191.98, 194.49, 196.28, 199.49, 200.82s: Missing 16th stuff to percussion.
203.40s: Funny how the note I've been asking you to add is the only beat you don't step in this section.
203.71s: Unnecessarily long anchor.
217.31s: Missing 8th to guitar.
217.86, 218.33, 234.28s: Missing 16th.
240.61s: These jumps are okay this time because the bass is louder.
247.02s: Would have said to end it with a note here at the steepest sound cut-off, but the triplet to the drum gets in the way, so really you don't need a filler note at the end.

[8/10] Flounder / Takaji // Scintill
// Really fun file, but the jack patterns in the beginning should be changed up, and maybe some beat-moving would help, because there are some arrows around 14 ms early. A few other layering things.
4.53s: This jump is about a 64th early.
11.97s: Missing notes to percussion roll.
20.01s+1m(8): Whether it's the pitch or the way the notes are played, these don't sound like they should be in the same column as the previous minijack or if they should be minijacks in the first place. If you do keep them as minijacks, at least change up the patterns some, so it's not so left-hand biased.
20.61s+4m: Could just be a pseudo-jump.
33.57s+1m(7): The repeated 16ths don't go to the main guitar melody, which makes them feel incorrect.
34.41s: Missing note to main guitar melody.
35.97s: No grace note? You used grace notes earlier.
45.33s: Doesn't sound like it should be a minijack; it's too different a sound from the previous one.
48.57s: Surprised there isn't some kind of BPM change here, because the feel of the music totally changes.
55.41s: The instrument you've been jumping, here it sounds more like part of the roll and doesn't need to be a jump.
96.55s: Good for ignoring the guitar in this section.
103.75-111.91s: Kind of odd for the break to be so dense. Try it with less layering.
119.11s: Jump to snare.
123.31, 125.23s: You haven't been jumping this soft snare, so it's odd to start now.
171.95s: Hand to crash here (it's louder than the hand you put at 171.43s), no jump on the previous 48th.
174.31s: Hand.

// So it is between the difficulties of the two Sleeps in-game already, but we really don't need another one. Could also have phrases cut in half so it's not so repetitive.
11.15s: Backwards PR.
24.03-26.75s: Anchors, 16ths, and a couple 8ths don't seem to go to anything. If they go to the synth, then there's way more 8ths that you're missing.
29.80-30.48s: Shouldn't be a trill for PR.
34.88s: Same as 24.03s.
50.14+2b(6)s: Might as well jump these too.
54.72s: Shouldn't anchor with the previous jump.
63.87, 74.72s: Missing note to vocal.
77.77s: Maybe step the keyboard sound in this section to help differentiate it from the previous one.
87.01s: Missing 16th to percussion.
87.18s: Ghost note.
93.20s+2b(5): Jump these because the drum doulbes its pace and you have already been doing every-two-beat jumps, so it should be every beat here.
100.83s: Different sound and shouldn't anchor with the previous jump.
106.34s: Missing 16th to kick.
121.00s: Finally a section that makes it different.
210.53s: Ghost 12ths.

[6.5/10] Lettuce Regulation / The Gregory Brothers // DossarLX ODI & Xiz
// Such a long wait that you may as well add silence and step offbeat notes to the spoken word. (Even on some of the the auto-tuned parts, the rhythms are weird, so, yeah.)
// Watch out for putting arrows to the start of fricitive sounds when it's the start of the vowel that should take the emphasis. Some amount of rhythmic simplification is good but not always.
12.70-20.85s: Sure, there's that cymbal on every 8th, but it's weird to do that long anchor when there are other different percussion sounds on some 8ths.
22.40, 22.56s: 32nds is a little early. Also, 22.40s is higher in pitch than the previous note.
22.97s: Note should be on the vowel and not the start of the "th" sound.
23.46s: This arrow goes to the "ts" in "elevates" and should be removed. One arrow per syllable.
25.11s: Vowel is on the 96th here.
25.73s: "oh" is higer than "snap".
26.52s: 96th here, that 32nd is on a "th" in "that" again.
26.71s: The vowel of "goes" is here on the 8th.
26.87-27.36s: These three pitches descend.
27.52s: "ai" of "ideal" is on this 16th.
27.96s: Missing a note to the "uh" of "American" around here.
28.50s: Note on the vowel here instead of the S.
28.66-28.83s: These are a little early (You're starting in the middle of a "sh").
30.49, 32.07s: Vowel here.
35.19s: Jump here to go with the previous two jumps.
35.42, 35.72, 36.54s: Vowel here.
36.74s: This arrow goes to the "w" of "we"; the vowel is closer to the 4th but doesn't need to be stepped as a grace note because the 4th needs a 48th after it to "are".
52.63s: "You" is closer to the 12th at 52.69s.
52.88s: Ghost note.
53.01s: "ize" is close to the 24th here.
53.64s: Note here, not on the 24th.
54.74s: Minijack to the kick?
55.40s: Irrelevant staircase. Peak is at 55.73, valley at 56.06s.
59.40s: This gallop is a 96th early.
59.81s: "I" is closer to the 16th here than the following 32nd.
62.74s: Nothing jump-worthy here.
68.04s is a note to an S sound and is unnecessary.
68.77, 69.26s: Not sure why you suddenly ignore the percussion here, because you've usually been masking vocal rhythms with notes to the percussion anyway.
Done trying to listen to this. I guess the rest of the layering makes sense.

[7/10] New World Disorder / 23 // .Gazelle.
// Lots of good fixes were made, but there are still some clear layering errors. You have that one section with all hands, but then you don't use hands as much elsewhere, although there are more loud sounds which could use that emphasis.
7.03-8.89s: Shouldn't be an exact repeat of 3.75, because the pitches here are different. (But 10.61 is a repeat of 3.75s).
12.32s: Jump here to go with all the following 8ths.
15.75s: Could be a hand, even though it causes a 16th minijack.
18.32s: This goes to the snare and shouldn't be the same jump as 17.03, 17.46s to the kick.
19.18-42.32s: There are some loud bass hits in this section that could be hands. Starting at 29.46s, there are some bass+crashes that are even louder. Try accenting those with hands.
43.18s: Hand to crash.
43.71, 43.93s: Missing 16ths to the high synth.
46.93, 47.57, 49.93s: Missing 16ths to a softer synth.
48.32s: There's no snare or kick here to jump. It should be on 48.75s instead.
55.93s: Ghost note.
61.28s: Missing 16th to a soft synth.
63.11s: Jump to kick (consistency with 49.39s.)
64.07s: Missing 16th to synth.
65.36s: Synth has a break here.
67.07, 70.39s: Missing 16th to synth.
82.61s: Shouldn't be the same jump as the previous 12th and should be the same as the two following 12th jumps for relevance to the snare.
84.32s: Loud bass, loud crash: these could totally be quads (and don't worry about the 12th minijacks, it's only 140 BPM).
85.61, 92.46s: If any hands on 4ths in this section should be unlayered, it's these, because of how low the notes are (making them feel less emphasized.) Also because this particular melody doesn't play on the 12ths, the 12ths can just be jumps.
99.75s: More hands to the loud bass.
111.75s: Same as previous section like this.

// The layering is mostly good, but you're missing a lot of musically-relevant anchors.
12.41s: If you're not going to step anchors to the guitar from earlier, anchor similar-sounding hi-hats: after each triplet, the following 4th is the same as the last note of the triplet. (The hi-hat and guitar anchors overlap, so choose one or the other.)
23.38s: Ghost note, no hi-hat here.
23.48s: Jump the cymbal?
24.41s: Hand to the crash.
25.82, 37.82s: Missing 16th to bass.
38.10, 39.60s: The 32nd sounds here are too soft to hear distinctly at 1.0x and shouldn't be stepped.
42.41-48.41s: Missing anchors to the guitar.
48.41s: The following 8th and 4th jump should be anchored to the hand with the guitar.
51.41s: Should anchor with the following 8th, not the previous one.
52.72s: Shouldn't anchor with either jump around it.
54.41s: Look for the same mistakes in this section.
60.41-78.41s: The anchors to the guitar feel wrong with how much more prominent the percussion is in this section.
72.41, 72.60s: Jumps to kick/guitar like at 66.41s.
75.41s: It's stepped inconsistently here, too.
84.41-96.41s: Similar to before with correcting anchors to the guitar.
96.41-108.41s: It's good climax theory that you didn't jump the kick here.
114.41s: Similar to 12.41s.
126.41-139.91s: Many of the 32nds feel too light to include, especially the roll.
133.91s: Should be different from the hands at 132.41s because the pitches are different.
138.41s: Look over the anchors in this section.
150.40s: Layering should increase here for climax theory because of the every-4th cymbal that comes in.
157.90s: The sound you put the white note to plays here but not at 159.22s, where it fades in to make it not really have a statring point.

// Some odd layering, then weird climax theory, then a late difficulty spike. If you want to keep the accurate ending in the rhythms, maybe layer more in the previous sections. The song is catchy though.
3.35s: These start-of-every-measure 4ths don't go to anything in particular and should be unlayered.
6.02-6.68s: It looks like you're layering in the melody here, but then you ignore it at like 8.18, 9.18, 9.52s etc.
10.02s: Anchor is irrelevant.
12.68s: Although you're stepping 16ths to the light percussion in this section, you should try to follow the main melody, so like, 16.68-17.35s could use PR.
20.68-22.02s: May as well jump the 8ths to the snare too.
24.02-24.68s+2m(3): Not PR. 24.35s is lower than the 8th and 24.68 is higher than that.
25.02-25.35s: "be-in' a-live" should be 12ths and not a jack.
30.93s: "et" is on the 16th, not the following 4th.
31.35-33.68s: Anchors are incorrect.
44.68-55.35s: There has to be something more you can step here. The previous section is softer, so the layering shouldn't be lighter here.
87.35-108.02s: This section is an unpleasant difficulty spike from everything that came before it, and it's so late.
108.68-128.68s: No idea how this layering is supposed to be interpreted.

[6.5/10] Steel Dragon / SSH // DarkZtar
// Although it doesn't have many errors, it is very repetitive. The melodies repeat a lot, and the guitar is almost entirely triplets, which is very little rhythmic variation for three minutes. That much repitition is not fun, so the track could definitely use a cut.
5.50s: Different pitch than the previous set of triplet-jumps and should be a different pattern.
10.61s: Missing note to guitar.
17.03-18.02s: Pitches on the 8ths go ABCB not ABAB
23.30, 68.30, 73.57s etc: You could probably jump these with how loud the snare is, jumping it when it does something than every-other-4th stuff.
66.81s: Jump to main guitar melody.
163.74, 174.29s: Same as 5.50s.

[6.5/10] Synchronized Hearts / Colony 5 // hi191hi19
X Remove graphics paths from the .sm file.
// Just jumps to vocal rhythms, gallopy synth stepped in long breaks, straight 16th stream in the chorus ... And it's three and a half minutes of this, like an easier Vertex Beta. There are some layering things you could do to improve it even within your throwback intent, and the PR could be better.
6.37-13.66s: Not really sure what to say about these, because the changes in pitch in the galloping sound is so minor.
10.23, 11.94s: Fill in 4ths to the kick to differentiate it from the previous section.
27.16-29s: There are fewer pitches in the vocals than there are different jumps, and a lot of your jumps to the vocals are like this.
28.12s: 16th here, not an 8th before.
32.73s: Lowest vocal note in the line and should be [12].
44.09s: Could be a minitrill for PR. Not sure why you use more repeated arrows in this section than the previous galloping sections, because those also had repeated pitches.
47.52-49.23s: Pitches on the vocals here go AABBC.
56.30s: Not sure about this rhythm, arrow could be later and maybe only a single, because "foiled" is one syllable.
61.55-62.52s: The fact you repeat jumps here to the same pitch makes me wonder why you didn't earlier.
69.80s: There's really no way to PR this, so ... Your patterns are playable, so I guess that's good.
110.94s: It's so weird to have been jumping the clap and then suddenly start ignoring it completely as soon as the beat picks back up.
145.23-151.66s: Beat is lighter here, so the layering should change for climax theory.

[8/10] The Big Sleep / Streetlight Manifesto // VisD
// Fun, good climax theory and patterns, just a few layering things.
62.01s: Should be the first jump of the set, because the percussion you jump only does one 32nd gallop here.
63.58s: This is the only time you jump this 16th and doesn't seem to go to anything extra.
68.70, 70.31s+1m(3): Missing 16th to bass.
73.01s: Hand to cymbal.
74.91s: Inconsistent for this to be the only hand in 74.70-77.52s.
127.68s: Only minijack in the file, so this shouldn't be here.
137.43, 137.63s: Nothing particularly loud on these 16ths, so they don't need to be jumps.

[8/10] Tough Guy / Tim Ismag // Xiz
// Good layering and patterns, though it is pretty repetitive.
X Don't forget to add song information in the file to credit the artist and so your username doesn't appear in the subtitle. The artist isn't in the music file tags, either.
28.19, 28.49s: Pitch on these is different from the previous 16ths and should be in a different column.
56.69s: Higher in pitch than 57.29s, could be [124].
96.14, 96.29s: No guitar here.
101.39, 102.59s: Fill in gaps to cymbal with singles for climax theory.
104.99s: Minijack is bad.

[5.5/10] Valentine / Emoticon // Gradiant
#BPM:200.083s;
// Sure has lots of repetition for just two minutes; it's only six different phrases. Could easily be cut if it wouldn't make it too short.
// If you're going to step 16th stream to sounds that you can't listen to at a low rate to PR properly, try to step it relevant to something, like the percussion, or make the patterns nice. Looked through all the suggestions you got from last time, and, yeah, there are some I disagree with, but you only fixed two things that were noted, and not all of the changes you made work.
2.64-12.24s: So you don't step every 8th to the bass in this section, which means you must be stepping a different sound, and there is a percussion instrument I hear on your 8ths, but you're missing other 8ths to it: 5.19, 6.69, 7.59, and 9.99s.
Also, because your every-other-4th hi-hat was in the same column for the first three, when you start changing the column every two, it's offset from the start of the measures. So it would make more sense to have to two-each from the start or maybe change column every four.
3.84+2m(4)s: This goes to the percussion I just mentioned, but it's not the same sound repeated, so these 4ths should be moved out of the anchor.
11.19s: Jump to the clap that shouldn't have been removed.
14.56+2m(3): Missing 16th.
23.04-42.23s: I don't even hear this as being straight 16th stream. Whatever sound you're stepping, it doesn't have distinct constant 16th notes that you can really hear and step something relevant to. Instead, try stepping only the 16ths to the main melody and bass and also the beat-long 16th roll things at 24.23, 24.83, 25.89s etc. Those you can actually hear the distinct notes to. Even if you don't take out most of the 16ths, you'll want to change up your patterns to be more relevant to the bass kick, like an anchor at 25.13s and triplets at 27.38s. Your current layering works for 16th stream, but if you take a lot of that out, you may want to add more jumps like the synth sounds at 24.23+1m(6).
27.38s: Missing jump to clap that you added in at 36.98s but forgot to here.
42.38s: Missing note to piano.
42.98s: Should be on 2 because it's the same pitch as 42.53s (also, because 42.83-43.43s is a descent, it helps to not have descending gaps.)
45.68s: Can be on 2 because it's the same pitch as 46.13s.
47.63s: The way you have this arrow here creates a false peak. It's an ascent from 47.33s, so you can do something like 23423.3
49.72s: Same pitch as 49.42s and should also be on 4.
49.87, 50.17, 50.32s: All the same pitch; would be simple to put them all on 2.
51.82-61.42s: Because you start jumping the clap in this repeat, that's more reason to start adding in singles to the claps on the 8ths.
53.77s: Missing note to the cymbal. (You jump the cymbal in this section, so you shouldn't totally ignore it. You can add in singles on 44.18, 46.58, 51.37s if you want to, especially if you add in the 8ths to the clap in the repeat section.)
59.32-59.92s: Same PR note as before.
60.97s: Should be [23] so it doesn't anchor in with the jumptrill because it doesn't share a sound with it.
61.42s: Okay, I do hear the 16th stream here.
61.42s: Fun fact: Starting from the first 4th, for the first measure of the instrument doing 16ths, the notes on ..x..x.x..x..x.x are all the same pitch. Then from 62.62s, it does a 1231432412314324 pattern. (Can't use the pattern exactly because of jumps and relevance to the main melody, but that's what it does.)
63.29, 72.89s: I don't hear anything special on these 16ths, so I don't know why you added the jumps in. Did you mean to put jumps on the 8ths to the claps?
63.82-66.22s: The synth that's doing 16ths repeats the exact same contour as the first two measures but at a lower pitch, so the patterns should be similar.
65.84s: At 1.0x, the clap doesn't sound like it's making a triplet, so this doesn't need to be a jump. The jump at 65.99s feels random, because it doesn't go to the clap. If it goes to the bass, then you should also jump a gallop at 66.14s. Adding jumps to the bass is another reason why the jump at 65.84s would get in the way.
80.76s+2m(7): Anchor to previous 4th, because it's the same guitar pitch.
84.21s+4m(3)s: Something like 3.243.2 for the polyrhythm would be easier to hit properly.
93.81s: Should be a jump now that you're jumping every other 4th.
101.90s: If you're going to end a jumptrill with a single-hand here like this, there are a lot more spots you could use hands.
102.20s: Hand at the start. And maybe try doing something relevant to the piano instead of jumping the percussion through the whole file. Also you still have a ton of anchors in this section you really don't need, three-note ones like 104.45, 105.54s and even four-note ones at 113.15, 113.75s. It looks like you stepped 1232123 to try to be relevant to the 16th sound, but the sound just isn't doing that.
110.60-111.80s: These patterns work fine.
121.39s: I guess you did this instead of stepping it all as jumptrills to the kick? But because you can't jump all of it, maybe try making the jumps relevant to the piano instead.

GROUP 2 – SET 1
RESUBMISSION – Arcanum Guardian (VisD)
Rating: 8/10 -> [+]
- 9.895: add a jump for the crash here, it’s quite prominent
- missing jumps for: 14.237, 19.290, 54.658, 55.256
- missing note at 21.184
- 48.105: the 12th note jumps here can be reorganized for better PR here – in order: 2234321 (second highest jump choice, second highest jump choice, third highest, etc)
- 90.420: your choice in patterns to catch the PR here doesn’t feel right to me… having the right to left is good and all, but the descending pitch is more of an arpeggio than a scale, so it just feels strange
- 102.736: this speedup section has three pitches in the synth here, so add a third trill of sorts and organize them in pitch accordingly
- generally good structure, file is fluent, rhythms are accurate, and the chart manages to be quite aggressive while being correct – well done!

RESUBMISSION – Revenge of Mister Foxsky (Xiz)
Rating: 7/10 -> [+.]

I’ve judged this once before, so I will go off of my previous notes to see if things were resolved.

Addressed notes in green:
Quote:
Rating: 6/10 -> [+?]
- set offset to -0.027 for the note times; offset is noticeably off (your offset is different but it works fine in DDream, so will consider resolved)
- 11.040 to 19.767: it would have been pretty cool in my eyes if you incorporated the previous PR while adding the swing since you are repeating the same taps that are on the 4ths and 8ths, hardly a big deal, though
- 28.495 to 32.858: 24ths could be placed a bit better to follow the bass, since it is quite melodic
- 34.404: the snare is noticeably disjointed from the bass here; make this tap a single tap and add a single tap 1/48 from the jump (at 34.449)
- 37.495: triple seems a bit out of place since the previous one also catches a cymbal crash
- 40.995: missing tap for snare (a 48th before the jump at 41.040)
- 45.949 to 49.767: really not a fan of this -- the most prominent accent of this section, at 49.767, is only a jump, yet you have a ton of jumps catching the really subtle percussion building up to it; my personal recommendation would be to remove all of the jumps and keep a repeating triplet structure, changing it at 48.131 like you already have, still without jumps (resolved, but you do have a little rigidity on the transition at 48.039 thanks to a minijack)
- 50.313 to 67.767: was hoping for a bit of a structural change here given the new instrumental element, but the structure still remains relatively similar overall
- 76.495 to 109.222: while you do follow everything properly here, this area feels a bit overdone because you literally are trying to follow 5 different elements at once whenever possible without adding layering (hi-hat, clap, string accent, vocals, brass melody) – being that your base is the same hi-hat structure you had in the intro, you could afford to switch it up to avoid repetition
- 113.858/(etc): these jacks don’t complement the music at all; the faded bass falls on 32nd notes and those would certainly be uncomfortable as jacks at this speed
- 122.040/124.222: these notes also deserve some accenting too being a piece of the powerful bass, at least make them jumps
- 124.131: keep your relevance from before – switch the order of the D/R arrows
- 127.167/128.313: remove these triples and make them jumps
- really dig the intensity of the ending
- file is alright, but could use some work

Quite a bit has been done to improve the file, and it looks a bit better. There’s still some overall convolution in some areas, but this file is acceptable at this current point.

Blue (DossarLX ODI)
Rating: 7/10 -> [+.]
- 21.479/21.521: questionable notes
- 21.993 to 32.964: not particularly bad, but because the rhythm in your chart seems to be changing despite the difficulty in hearing that particular instrument, some notes feel ghosted
- 41.879: break away from your previously established pattern here so that you can accent the fact that the percussion has gone from s-b-b-b-s-b-b-b to s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s (s = snare/b = bass drum)
- 69.393: missing tap for the bass here; to sustain your previous structure, you’re going to have to change it so that the mini-jack couplets start at this 16th (but you knew that already).
- 87.821 to 109.764: not that the stream is a bad idea, but it feels like there’s a bit too much going on in the stream – with the snares and bass drums taking precedence as jumps, it feels a bit strange giving the same level of accenting power in your chart to the considerably less audible synthesized instrument
- 110.964 to 131.707: jump usage is slightly inconsistent here, particularly for the bass drums, which occasionally don’t have layering but are represented as jumps despite having areas where single taps represent them
- chart is not bad at all; the drop between 46s and 88s is certainly memorable

Breathe (DossarLX ODI)
Rating: 7.5/10 -> [+.]
- not a big fan of the overall choice in rhythms; I understand rhythmic simplicity for lower level players, but I feel like this could have been executed quite a bit better in a few areas
- however, the structure is done in a way that prevents repetition in a holistic sense
- very accessible file overall

Against The Dragonflames (t-rogdor)
Rating: 3/10 -> [?]
- all instances of 32nd minitrills need to be removed for play on FFR – at this speed, they are nearly unplayable because of FFR’s frame-based timing.
- 3.952 (etc): this just looks strange to me, probably because I am viewing the entire introduction as strange in that you only accented the 8th notes of the melody here mixed with the 4th note hi-hats (which seems like a double-layering scheme but it doesn’t quite work when they mix together)
- 10.077 to 34.077: way overdone
- 34.077 to 50.077: it’s a shame that you used the previous PR sequence here (using singles to show the PR); it’s barely noticeable since the jumps appear to look more spread out and freeform – in my personal opinion it would look better if you would just add pitch relevancy using jumps (and, you’d get two extra logical pattern choices since there are 6 jump combinations as opposed to 4 regular tap combinations).
- 58.077 to 66.077: feels way over-emphasized/over-layered despite being a byproduct of direct layering
- 82.077 to 96.077: again, not a fan, especially when compared with the higher-in-intensity section immediately before
- 114.702: random three-note repetition that really doesn’t look like an instance of pitch relevance
- 122.077 to 130.077: see 10.077 to 34.077
- 130.077 to 146.077: with the exception of the last measure, this layering structure feels alright; what’s with the random repeated taps, though?
- 146.077 to 162.077: ugh, if I called the earlier sections overdone, I don’t even know what I could call this
- 162.077 to 176.077: etc, feeling like a broken record here; overdone
- 178.077 to 210.077: for the record, these sections (in terms of layering) are fine and would be great with some pattern changes
- quite disappointed given who it was coming from; was expecting substantially better

Apocynthion Drive (Reshiram)
Rating: 6/10 -> [+?]
- sync is slightly drifty
- 20.532: not the cleanest of audio cuts there
- 22.399 to 32.931: check your rhythms in the solo; there are errors in both the actual rhythms and the less easily transcribed pitch-bends
- 39.597: jump is incorrectly placed
- 52.929 to 64.928: stream can generally be patterned more accordingly to pitch while maintaining index-friendly patterns (I mention this because there’s not a single instance of having to use the same finger twice).
- 65.728 to 80.660: considering earlier instances of pitch relevance earlier exist, it would be in your best interest to organize these jumps a bit more accurately for PR purposes, because they don’t look correct visually
- 80.927 to 95.592: so much lighter, yet more elements are added; avoiding repetition is great and all, but there were different instruments that could have been utilized for an active pace while not repeating the same general layering
- 101.325/101.592: should be triples for that cymbal splash according to earlier parts of this section
- 109.591: listen carefully and get the correct rhythms here
- 127.989 to 143.988: fairly charted, but I just dislike the fact that this section is a bit less urgent/intense compared to 95.592 to 106.791, yet has aggressive 16th stream patterning that is quite a bit more difficult compared to the rest of the file
- not a fan, but it does have some accuracy to it

Crab Nicholson Extreme Sleepover (GammaBlaster)
Rating: 5.5/10 -> [+?]
- the song’s pace really doesn’t merit a 210 BPM structure; cut to 105
- pitch relevance does exist but can be largely improved as a whole
- 20.842/28.556: quite a few repeated taps here that can be resolved
- rhythms are correct overall throughout the file, but file is heavily overlayered given the song
- patterning as a whole is quite rigid, likely due to the fact that the file is executed in the way that it is

Drumhead Trial (condoct)
Rating: 3/10 -> [?]
- 5.294: sudden increase of jumps is hard to justify given that it’s obviously not following the snare that hits here, and the jumps used to catch the closed hi-hats in the drums are not going to work well here since that sound is pretty largely masked
- 6.360: missing note for snare
- 6.445: from this point until 136.470, your chart is synced to a blue note, this needs to be fixed
- throughout the entire file, there are a number of missing notes for the bass drum and extra notes for the snare drum
- a good majority of this file is convoluted because you are trying to mix inconspicuous elements with noticeable elements; mixing the percussion with the guitar playing lower end riffs and vocals makes your chart feel overaggressive in a number of areas
- 51.173 to 69.556: this section is probably the biggest offender of inconsistency – neither direct layering nor accenting really justifies the structure here
- 94.901: really badly timed BPM change that causes a few ghost notes
- 97.647/(etc): either remove these mini-jacks, or accent mini-jacks for all instances of repeated notes in this bridge here
- 121.658/126.274/127.843/132.549/134.117/(ETC): 32nds for the bass drum should be 24ths
- 146.078: when you fix the sync, you’ll have to adjust here to accommodate for the time signature change here
- 152.156 to 174.117: not that this is a great structure to have in the first place, but you have a number of misplaced jumps for the vocals here
- 163.921: these should be 24ths
- 188.235 to 194.117: guitar plays only one note every ¾ of a beat
- 200.784 to 223.921: this stream really plays badly because the song is very quiet and you’re accenting a barely audible ride/hi-hat – with a break in the song like this, your chart definitely should relax a bit too
- 227.451 to 252.549: again, quite convoluted structure mixing vocals, guitar, bass drum, other percussion, etc
- 251.764 to 252.549: incorrect rhythms (should be x-xx-[x]xxx-xxxxxxx, 32nds; the note in [ ] can actually be placed on a 48th/64th because it’s not quite evenly spaced with the others)
- 252.549 to 261.960: with the exception of the very end of the stream where the triples accent the vocals, you yet again have a structure that is quite messy because of multiple things being used for jumps (also, some of the vocals have improperly placed jumps).
- chart is horribly draggy being constructed with a large amount of stream
- structure is not executed well and is aggressive in places where it should not be
- various misrhythms exist, ghost notes exist, and there are even notes missing as well
- file needs an overhaul to be acceptable

Flame Repellent (PrawnSkunk)
Rating: 7/10 -> [+.]
- 10.190: this is a pretty abrupt drop in layering given the intro
- 57.319: I initially pointed out a number of 24ths that should be 32nds, but I came to find that the number of intentional usages of 24ths far exceeded the proper use of 32nds; with that being said, for the sake of consistency, it might be a good idea for you to change this 32nd run just to be consistent with the rest of your chart
- 65.195: not a big deal here given the difficulty of the song, but the melody actually repeats in sets of 3 here, so a roll could be changed into something interesting like 431431 or 421421 (this would be a pretty harsh pattern, so it’s not a necessary change given your difficulty)
- 68.695: a bit arbitrary given the sound
- 72.695: change to 32nds
- 98.197: you could probably structure this a bit better to accent the changes in scale; using 32nds could help quite a bit here and would be alright considering all of the 32nds following this
- 112.511: quite a harsh pattern here
- 153.202: 32nds would be more appropriate here for accenting
- 154.202: there are a number of notes here not accommodated for; for every jump you have, there are actually four notes – in your situation, it might be most appropriate to have two repeating 16ths for each jump you have
- not a bad chart at all! Pitch relevancy is respectable and layering is as well; I feel like this chart has some pretty large difficulty spikes compared to other areas, which can be resolved by filling out the chart a bit more in the emptier sections
- also, think about what you want more: do you want to accent the 32nds as they are, or do you want to use 24ths to subdivide rhythms a bit more?

I (DarkZtar)
Rating: 7/10 -> [+.]
- 29.759/30.011: since there’s separation between the sampling here, one of these can start as a spin as opposed to a roll (they’ll be jumptrilled at this speed anyway)
- 37.763 to 39.513: check the points where you’re changing in and out from rolls, spins, and inversions because there are only six sampling changes in the song, but your patterns exist in seven ways – it’s not even changes every beat; alternatively, you could do some interesting trill manipulation using 16ths to accommodate for the changes too (think about it logically: a player is doing a 16th jumptrill to do this properly, so…)
- 60.987 to 63.927: gross, oof
- 85.042: change this split roll to a regular one; this at 280 is unreasonable
- 126.918: with there being an active bass drum here (and this roll accenting a sound effect), you could opt into accenting that as opposed to the arbitrary ascending synth – you’d get a bit more variation in rhythm too, which is nice
- 134.674: see 29.759/30.011
- substantially improved compared to your first submission, looks miles better than before

Kodomoraibu (Razor)
Rating: 5/10 -> [+?]
- there is a large number of accidental mini-jacks that occur inconsistently in this file, making the layering scheme ambiguous occasionally
- structure is questionable; hi-hats often fall on 12th notes and the chart is often filled when other notable instruments aren’t present, so it could be assumed that the hi-hats are being implicitly followed – however, there are instances where notes clearly feel like they don’t belong
- 11.095: why is there no jump for the vocals/no three note repetition here? Doing both at the same time makes it so that you don’t have to arbitrarily separate the jack to accommodate for the vocals. 8.218 is a good example of proper layering (not necessarily the best in structure since you’re missing the repeated jacks for a synth or have a mini-jack for no real reason)
- 15.205: remove triple
- 19.725: pitch relevancy would make this a down/up/down as opposed to up/down/up implied here
- 20.136: and this should technically be L/D/L as opposed to the D/L/D you have
- 20.958: and then PR just disappears here altogether
- 25.068/25.479: these triples stand out as erroneous; they could be correct, but they are arbitrarily placed if it’s for the bass here
- 29.177: ^, same deal
- 42.739/43.561/44.383: missing triples for cymbal crashes as per earlier – if you find the patterns to be a bit abrasive using the L arrow as a jack into a DUR triple, you could use one of the index fingers and transition into triples that way – it feels a bit more natural
- 48.424: missing note for percussion; this one is a bit important because it’s separating the percussion and the subtle 12th note piano that you were accenting
- 61.163/(etc): missing note for percussion here – this trend generally continues throughout the file
- 72.670: what does this note go to? If it’s for the synth, you’re missing another note before this
- 80.478: missing 24th
- 95.162: no being lazy, sync up that ending
- file needs some work

Lexus Cyanixs (Reshiram)
Rating: 5/10 -> [+?]
- chart is early
- 2.426: arguably only three notes, probably only two – certainly not four notes as you have here
- 13.426: the motion done to execute this pattern is extremely jarring compared to the song, not to mention that a similar sound was audibly heard a bit earlier and was 32nds
- 18.426/21.093/22.426/23.760: 21.093/22.426 triple placement was good for pitch relevancy; you can actually utilize this scheme from 18.426 to 23.760 by putting the highest intended triple on 18.426/23.760, and then the lowest and second lowest on 21.093/22.426, respectively (just for the sake of continuity)
- 22.426/22.593: with the bass actually not repeating here, it would be more accurate visually to change the 8th such that it forms an opposite pair (like at 18.426, where you go [123][12][34], you have a very noticeable [12][12][34] in there to separate bass/snare)
- 25.093: no repeating jump here? Why not?
- 29.093/40.426: only two notes, the 4th and another note 1/48th before the 4th, not after
- 27.760/27.843/28.010: minor continuity issue here; it would look/feel best if a given pair of the triple repeats three times for the snare
- 41.760/43.093: compared to other quads, these are way overemphasized
- 43.760: remove this 32nd burst; whatever you’re following is barely audible
- 46.010: remove this note
- 47.093: remove the two 64ths at 47.114/47.155, add a note at 47.176
- 50.426 to 71.426: various mistakes in rhythm/structure; see some examples below:
· 50.676: add a 48th before the 4th and remove everything else
· 51.176: missing note
· 53.593: out of place, and a very large difficulty spike for again, a hardly audible/noticeable element
· 54.093: should be 24ths
· 56.093: these 48ths for the piano are actually alright compared to the others
· 56.926: these 16ths look misplaced (these five notes would be better starting at 57.093)
· 57.676: should be 32nds
This trend continues through 71s; check carefully and fix accordingly
- 73.593/75.593: rather than arbitrarily assigning 32nds to the buzz here, catch the parts where the notes are the loudest; it’ll play/look better
- many misrhythms, particularly in the second half
- quite overstepped and overlayered in some parts
- regardless, likely not acceptable due to hi19’s being in general with generally similar difficulty but better structure

Moonglow (samurai7694)
Rating: 7.5/10 -> [+.]
- sync is quite late – offset changed from -0.120 to -0.088
- 9.432: release nice attention to the toms there
- 12.913: missing jump for snare?
- 22.989: what you’re following with the 32nd burst is barely audible
- 26.653: ^
- 36.913: ^ (etc, just keep looking throughout the entire file)
- 67.692: these 32nds are fine, just fyi
- 76.852: should be 32nds as opposed to a polyrhythm here
- 123.936: I am a fan of the repeated “bouncing” pattern (maybe you’ll know what I mean), but to avoid repetition, you might want to mirror it here
- 129.615: add a jump for the snare here
- 144.089: oh ok, so you did mirror it after all: with regards to the pattern mirroring: count the number of measures you have from the start of the chorus and just shift the patterning in a certain number of ways depending on how long it is (if 64 measures, four patterns over 16 measures a piece, if 32, then 8 a piece, etc)
- chart has a very solid structure, is quite fluent, and is enjoyable
- it is a little draggy with the repetition of the chorus and the patterns with it
- on another note: the best sync for this song in DDream is 163.732 BPM / -0.091 seconds

Po Pi Po Kouka de Uchi no Miku wa Kyou mo Genki Desu (0)
Rating: 6/10 -> [+?]
- literally plays like a solo convert
- typical 0 file; way over-layered, but generally makes sense as a whole
- relatively fluent
- however, because of how heavy the file is all the way through, it is slightly draggy despite being 60 seconds
- will toss highest non-acceptance rating on this because this file literally has no originality

Reincarnated Girl and Reincarnated Boy (Yulanik)
Rating: 4.5/10 -> [?]
- 15.850: missing a few piano notes here
- 23.606: ideally, your 240 BPM structure should start here (or a 120 with 8ths to build into it); it looks a little strange as 12ths in my personal opinion
- 24.603 to 36.103: layering is a little strange here; it seems like it’s some sort of direct layering, but what’s being layered is not prominent, that’s for sure – resolve your layering by picking things a bit more easily audible
- 27.603: for pitch relevancy purposes, this should be a trill of sorts
- 33.728: should be 12th notes
- 34.041: remove note
- 35.603: this entire drum fill should be 12th notes
- 36.603 to 44.603: while not quite as unclear as 24.603 to 36.103, this section still seems a little convoluted – some jumps are obviously to snares, but what are the others consistently following? Also, check your white note usage; there are a few instances arguably missing from your chart
- 40.853 (etc): the first three out of the four triples are out of place
- 43.728: same situation here; what do the triples follow?
- 46.853: having 4th note jumps consecutively implies that the vocaloid is being followed, so remove this jump and make a single here
- 48.353: somewhat heavy accent for a closed ride/hi-hat here, use a jump for this (also: look at 48.728 and 49.103 – with these two notes in close proximity, which one is fuller and is more deserving of a strong accent?)
- 48.722 to 50.603: layering gets a little strange here
- 51.603: there’s five repeating notes here, so attach one of the two notes forming the jump to the up arrow jack you have (you will need to switch the 8th jump for proper attachment)
- 52.603: good pitch relevancy here, nice job
- 64.103: having 24ths here is extremely strange considering two things: a.) the little chime plays 24ths one beat before this and then plays 16ths here and b.) the guitar doesn’t really have a defined rhythm in that pitch bend
- 80.603 to 96.603: generally convoluted layering structure; organize it a bit more – pick well pronounced instruments and use them to make a more solid layering structure
- 88.103: should be 12ths instead of 16ths here
- 96.603 to 110.603: again, layering can be a bit cleaner – there are a number of missing jumps for vocals if you want to capture them in the first half of this section, and additionally, a large number of mini-jacks that don’t quite physically make sense with the vocals given that they are not on the same pitch (also in the first half). In the second half of this section, there are a few missing jumps that really break accenting for a section that needs heavy detail (missing jumps at 106.103, 107.103, 108.103), as well as a strangely placed jump at 109.853.
- 111.541: missing note for the hi-hat here (32nd note)
- 113.603: should be 24ths
- 116.603: with the pitch in all of the instruments ascending, having a staircase doesn’t quite apply on a visual level (also, using 24ths here would be better than two arbitrary off-color notes here)
- 119.103: likewise, a trill would be best here since there’s two notes alternating in pitch (again, not necessary to have those two 64ths, the melody hardly sounds like it deviates in rhythm even slightly)
- 119.603 to 127.603: rework this area – you have an active guitar solo and you should do whatever you can to keep focus to that; you can definitely have other accents like snares and whatnot, but do not detract focus from this at all
- 127.603 to 135.603: …continuing on from the first point, the guitar really has a special melody at this point, so pay close attention to it and accent accordingly – keep your extraneous layering to a minimum and only catch things that really count – if you want, you can use interlaced layering that carries the guitar and the bass drum at the same time without creating jumps unless it accents something really prominent
- 133.853: the 32nd note drum fill starts here, but be careful: the rhythm changes at 134.103 to 24ths – same thing happens at 134.853 – starts as 32nds and changes to 24ths on the fifth note; note: this still carries the guitar solo, but don’t be afraid to accent these drum fills while paying attention to the guitar still when possible – interlace any pitch relevancy that might occur if you feel like it makes better patterns visually
- 140.353: should be 24ths
- 141.603 to 165.603: again, generally convoluted layering – you definitely have an idea of what you’re doing, you just need to simplify it so that it will make more sense to the player; as it stands, you’re just layering too much.
- 164.603: same issue as earlier, use 5 notes here – attach the up arrow jack to the jump and make sure that it stands out as five notes
- I know that I have given a somewhat lower score, and a lot of notes for you, but by no means should you think this is a bad file. Given that this is my first time seeing a file from you, I am definitely looking at promising content – you have a reasonable understanding of pitch relevancy, and based on your general choice of color note accenting, you have some creativity. Your weak point seems to be layering structure, and thankfully, that is a bit easier to learn than proper pitch relevancy for most people. Like many others before you (and myself included in the past), you just need some guidance to get that foot forward. Keep trying – I don’t think it will be too much longer before you have that yellow name!

Silent Wind (0)
Rating: 5/10 -> [+?]
- stop wasting people’s time sending in the same submissions, seriously. Two point deduction for making absolutely no changes to a file when there were objective mentions by myself and other judges as well.

Quote:
- offset changed from -0.080 to -0.089
- 34.104: missing jump
- 41.377/41.831: missing jump
- 87.361 to 105.543: not entirely sure why taps disappear here; there is a clear percussion line running through and the vocals don’t carry a discernible rhythm corresponded by your chart
- 141.901: rather abrupt place to cut off; you could continue charting past this point while lowering your layering as the chart fades out a bit more
- typical overlayered 0 chart, although this one actually plays a bit more nicely than expected since most of the jumps in place clearly accent instruments that can be easily heard
Star Girl and the Fantasy Cinema (Yulanik)
Rating: NA/10 -> [PASS]
- for some reason, this particular song doesn’t sit well with me and I’m not sure why. I passed rough by mommy for the same reason even though the song is quite nicely crafted…

sylcymk’s theme (VisD)
Rating: 6.5/10 -> [+?]
- cross-referenced the older chart against the newer one; aside from the build-up issue at 50.207, not much has changed – patterning is still quite rigid in a number of areas and pitch relevance could use some work overall still
- structure is a bit overaggressive just like before

Quote:
- 17.864: jumps are hardly necessary here as the sound itself is pretty largely faded
- 25.364: ^
- 39.895: with a really heavily accented melody coming in here, add some pitch relevance to make the patterning feel a bit better (add the jumps after your patterning is established and manipulate as needed)
- 50.207: the concept of building up isn’t a bad idea, but having these triples come before a really well pronounced cymbal crash charted as a triple itself somewhat defeats the purpose of building up an accent; you should really look into removing these triples
- 73.176 (etc): these patterns are pretty nasty looking thanks to differentiating rhythms
- as a whole, this chart -really- badly drags, and it looks somewhat overlayered due to non-prominent instruments being accented with jumps; the rhythms are very solid given how complex the song is, but the PR and layering have noticeable issues
Truth (Razor & Xiz)
Rating: 7.5/10 -> [+.]
- 12ths are off just slightly in the intro, should be 3/16th as opposed to 1/6th
- for the first third of the song or so, it feels like there are some added notes for hi-hats that aren’t there, but at full rate it plays well regardless (some questionable notes at: 25.580, 27.980, 29.695, etc)
- 64.579: no 8th notes for the bass here? Sadface.png
- for the entire drop, your jump placement in the accented bass notes + deep bass is incorrect because the bass actually doesn’t play every three notes, and it’s quite noticeable for someone who has decent headphones/audio – for instances like 67.408, change the jump to a single tap for the third note of each sequence; 92.007 has bass only on the 8th notes, so the jumps on the offbeat 16ths should be changed to single notes; likewise, 97.493 has bass only on the 8th notes, so jumps at 97.578/97.750 should be removed (the one at 97.921 is fine)
- 68.808, 74.293, 79.779, (etc): remove jump – the bass drum should create a polyrhythm here because it falls on an 8th, not a 12th
- 92.521: missing note for bass drum
- 100.578: I’d remove this jump since it has only the bass by itself, no bass drums/snares fall here, etc.
- 101.693: add a jump here
- 103.235: add jump here, remove jump at 103.321
- 103.578: you could add a jump here if you want, but I feel like having opposing jumps really defeats the accent here – choice is yours
- 104.435: add jump
- this general trend of layering change can be applied up to 111.207
- 111.121: technically acceptable for that sound, but it’s quite difficult to hear and that burst is a bit abrupt having a slight mini-jack on the up arrow
- 111.207 to 133.149: this is how the hi-hats should be in the intro in terms of rhythm, all notes are properly accommodated for
- good chart, solid layering – most of the things that I’ve mentioned are generally optional because the chart does place a good focus on percussion and observing that particular focus shows that the structure is generally acceptable and well done at that

unisonote (bmah)
Rating: 7/10 -> [+.]
- 5.957: this sound is pretty quiet, a jump isn’t necessary for it
- 15.957: there’s actually a lower violin accent here that doesn’t quite fit 16ths in rhythm
- 18.279/18.993: not a big deal because it’s 84 BPM, but these two mini-jacks stand out in a generally negative light to me, it just looks strange
- 22.029: this also doesn’t very nice either despite being properly layered
- thankfully, the layering is quite coherent/nicely done after the intro to me, everything is really clean past the introduction to me
- the triples starting at 72.564 is a bit strange to me for the sake of continuity of the previous accenting; I’d start accenting them on the next audible repeat of the melody, which would be at 72.921
- 120.957: personally, you could add some finality to the chart by accenting the violin here so that the last note isn’t just “floating” if you will
- solid file; intro is a bit weak but the rest of the file is quite nice

RESUBMISSION – Wanderlust (Gradiant)
Rating: 8.5/10 -> [+]
- as before: the intentional usage of 24ths instead of 32nds for the melody is a really tasteful way to separate the melody from the bass drum; the synth is a lot harder to detect as being 32nds because it’s not atonal like the bass drum
- my only complaints about this new version of the file are the transitions out of the trills – some are quite rigid because they force sudden one-hand motions (42424[2][1] for example)
- check your rhythms on things like 203.892 as the poly-rhythms aren’t the most accurate of syncopation of rhythms in this case
- change 224.012 to an up arrow just to smooth that out a bit
- file has a very solid structure and showcases itself as a difficult file from the beginning; very fond of it overall and will make an excellent high-level file for the upper echelon of players

Akasha (DarkZtar)
Rating: x/10 -> [PASS]
- cannot judge impartially because I have a WIP for this as well and I don’t generally like/agree with this structure

Big Up Toronto (___________)
Rating: 5/10 -> [+?]
- your rhythm in the intro needs some slight tweaking
- 11.062: instances like this are most concisely accented with 12th notes (those 1/32 gaps don’t look great visually and will likely not play very well either)
- 20.186: given the song’s overall volume here, this section feels quite overlayered despite having a reasonable structure (and even at 30.154, it still feels quite heavy)
- 40.322 to 60.458: your jump usage isn’t clear here – it seems like you’re trying to catch the melody, but it’s hard to tell because certain jumps are missing
- 69.425: jumps? Run through this entire section to make sure that the jump placement is correct
- 81.538: it might be better to omit the jumps and just use single taps to represent the snares here; it’s pretty quiet
- 95.146/100.180: jump? The melody doesn’t have jumps specifically assigned to them, so these seem erroneous
- 100.731 to 120.552: when dealing with the rhythm fixes in the intro, make sure to apply them here; also, smooth out patterns and be a bit more concise in what you’re following – this is really really heavy and can probably be reconsidered

Crucial (VisD)
Rating: 8.5/10 -> [+]
- judged this previously and felt like it was very solid
- made a mention of a missing guitar note at some point in the second half of the song, but couldn’t find it with some searching so I will assume it is resolved
- good file

Dark Knight (hi19hi19)
Rating: 9/10 -> [+]
- no errors
- very clean file; definitely gets the job done
- nothing extravagant or standing out as amazing, just old-fashioned, great charting

Fighting of the Spirit (Reshiram)
Rating: 4.5/10 -> [?]
- not really a fan of how the grace notes are executed as a whole; many of them are technically incorrect rhythmically as the pitch bends are a bit longer than represented in the chart
- 16.410: that quad really has no purpose, honestly
- 30.091: can’t quite hear what this goes to
- 45.178 to 50.181: poor jump usage + missing hi-hat accenting, yet 50.025 produces a 32nd note burst for some reason (note: it’s ghosted)
- 59.328: while I do agree with catching the synth’s pitch bend, you have a little too much here in my opinion – a more appropriate starting point would be 59.406 for me
- 60.031: remove triple as there’s no crash here; also allows for you to accent the missing snare at 60.109
- 66.591: missing a few notes to color here, technically 66.754 and 67.067 should be colored too
- 70.194: you might as well be doing a trill into a quad here
- 87.157: rhythm for lower guitar changes here
- 106.304: see 66.591, apply times accordingly
- 119.600/129.606: polyrhythms are incorrect here
- 158.061: layering very suddenly changes from synth accenting to percussion accenting for no reason
- 170.256: see 70.194
- 179.324: 16ths
- 186.204: see 66.591, apply times accordingly
- 199.650/209.656: see 119.600
- 218.880: why are 16ths accented for percussion here but not earlier in the phrase?
- 244.052: should be 16ths
- structure of the file really doesn’t sit well with me being that it very often discards percussion and uses less prominent instrumentation for adding layering; additionally, the choice in color usage seems overdone and there are various misrhythms as well

Flounder (SKG_Scintill)
Rating: 8.5/10 -> [+]
- personally, some of the pitch bending can be timed out a bit better
- you’re occasionally missing some reasonably audible percussion notes in drum rolls throughout the file
- other than that, this file is very solid and has no major errors at all

Kotobatoraborato (0)
Rating: 6/10 -> [+?]
- not changing my rating unlike Silent Wind because I didn’t point out any real objective errors; here are the notes from before and I honestly don’t expect any change:
Quote:
- colored notes in the intro are acceptable since they accent a synth that is filtered out, I don’t mind the color usage at all
- however, the structure of the chart is poor. It’s correct, but beyond overlayered and really overemphasized
Lethargic Slumber (Razor)
Rating: 5/10 -> [+?]
- missing notes at 27.938, 28.616, etc
- very lazy charting from 33.532 to 44.382; direct copy-paste is not going to help your file move any more quickly given how slow the pace is
- 49.468: this layering seems inverted – only snare = 2, but snare + vocals = 1? It doesn’t appropriately represent the bass either considering the bass plays once every measure
- 61.335: jump at both 61.335 and 61.674, but no other instance has two jumps?
- 76.932: introduction of a new instrument here, but chart structure doesn’t change (bass omission really won’t be noticed to help for drag); by this point, it’s horribly draggy
- 82.187/82.865/93.037/93.715: missing vocal note
- 87.019: missing snare, plus 87.188 is an extra note
- 99.649/100.666/(etc): separating these notes is technically acceptable since they are unique instruments and one is a bit more correct as an accent, but the constant usage makes it look messy (repeat for second half of drop)
- Boooring!’s drop is done quite well overall, there’s actually clear separation between the bass and the subtle percussion and all notes are accounted for
- 186.758: holy shit that fade is absolutely terrible between the two tracks; thankfully for you, I actually referenced the original track to verify that it was in fact none of your doing
- 197.649/203.074: missing jumps here?
- 210.533: 12ths?
- many many errors throughout the file, copy paste exists, occasional layering doesn’t work properly, misrhythms exist, and generally this file needs a lot of work overall

Lettuce Regulation (DossarLX ODI & Xiz)
Rating: 7/10 -> [+.]
- absolutely despise this; the song makes me cringe and the chart just looks bad for my tastes
- however, after closer examination, it’s really not that bad objectively
- the layering in this file is really strange to me in some places; the combination between lyrics and percussion gets a bit convoluted in some places
- additionally, jump placement looks really strange because of this structure
- rhythms are generally accurate

New World Disorder (.Gazelle.)
Rating: 7/10 -> [+.]
- largely improved from the previous file
- a few jumps are a bit questionable given their areas (why are there two consecutive jumps at 31.075/31.182 when there are a number of bass drums here?)
- 33.432: when crafting your patterns, make sure that you don’t implicitly suggest something to pay attention to (you have a 123123 and a 432432 with a one note separation in between) – it’s not correct in terms of pitch representation either, so it’s just off in terms of aesthetics
- 55.182: not sure what all is being followed here, seems like a mixture of things but it’s not quite clear
- 64.182: watch your patterning a bit; you are right with the repeating patterns ending on the right arrow, but listen closely at 65.146 – the note following it is what would be appropriately represented with the right arrow
- 84.325 to 98.039/111.754 to 125.468: a bit much for my tastes, but the structure is at least there
- all of your rhythms are correct now, layering is solid, and there’s actually a (albeit overdone imo) solid structure.
- this file has come quite a long way from DF all the way to multiple submissions here, but I have a feeling that your file might actually make it through this time.

Rape (hi19hi19)
Rating: 6/10 -> [+?]
- not a fan of the jump usage overall in the file; it’s hard to establish what’s being accented at some points because of the large number of jumps spread out, and I have issues with this throughout the entire file unfortunately; it feels so overdone even though it’s intended to be hard
- clean up some patterns/transitions: 6.058/10.162 (mini-trill at 202 is quite nasty there especially because the first part of the sequence is a 1-2 pattern), 18.470 (gross), 26.110 (3/32 minijack and forced into the motion of a rough roll), 68.020 (with this being a pattern that generally needs to be jumptrilled, that DU jump needs to be changed or the pattern just needs to be reworked)
- not a fan; structure seems like it’s there but it just feels beyond overdone and (I rarely say this) quite unpleasant :/

Sfjskalhisinis (0)
Rating: 5/10 -> [+?]
- layer everything as usual; it’s slowly getting to a point where I am tired of files like this anymore
- it doesn’t even look proper because you’re trying to squish so much in all at once; chords/cohesion have next to no meaning
- abruptly cuts off
- epitome of cacophony

Shotgun Senorita (XelNya)
Rating: 6/10 -> [+?]
- PR in the intro is not quite correct because you have instances of repeating notes in your chart when the song actually goes in and out of repeating
- 16.824: accidental mini-jack
- 37.167 to 42.416: smooth out the 32nd patterns; split-handed bursts substantially increase the difficulty
- 40.166/41.666: because you’ve been accenting every three 8th notes as a jump to allow for the bursts to fit cleanly, you should keep that structure going; if you want to accent the repeating bass drum, you can simply use two repeating single notes rather than two repeating jumps, that way, your accenting stays consistent
- 42.416 to 48.416: this is a little dull just repeating the same thing like this
- 60.603: adding a jump here will give your triple before it a bit more meaning since they’ll both share the loud bass drum hits
- 60.978: also, this jump is the only instance for that loud bass, just remove it altogether
- 94.913: nice attention to accenting detail there
- 127.161 to 130.911: this needs to be fixed really badly -- in terms of difficulty, it is miles ahead the rest of the chart; those 42321 patterns need to be reworked and the burst at 129.973 doesn’t quite fit well either
- 133.911: don’t make the same mistake I did on Tageri, please
- 135.410: differentiation between the snare and bass is possible here if you anchor only one note for the guitar rather than both
- that three second section from 127 to 130s really messed the file’s appearance up; it’s a shame because the rest of the file is acceptably done

Sonata (Sanxion7 Remix) [M0nkeyz]
Rating: 0/10 -> [!]
- there are two SM files in this sim, and I’m not sure which one is the correct one. Please remember to include only one SM file when submitting a file.

Spectrum (Assertive Remix) [bmah & Xiz]
Rating: 5/10 -> [+?]
- jump usage in the first 12 seconds is not clear at all
- 31.603: while this note is not clearly quantized, it would be better as an 8th since all other vocals fall on 8ths as well (it is the closest snapped rhythm that is correct anyway)
- 60.687: your layering scheme is changing very quickly and it’s actually hard to follow; it took me a number of passes to figure out why the vocals suddenly disappeared
- 87.353 to 108.020: this is quite a large difficulty spike, it might be worthwhile to reconsider the structure
- 91.478: just regular 16ths here
- 91.853: I understand having pitch relevancy, but a 270 BPM 16th note mini-trill is far from reasonable given your current structure; sacrifice some PR to get a smoother pattern (note: acceptable at 92.242 since it’s closing with a massive accent)
- 108.687 to 130.020: what is going on here?
- needs work. The layering is convoluted in many sections and the file is incredibly unstable with regards to difficulty.

Steel Dragon (DarkZtar)
Rating: 7/10 -> [+.]
- simple, to the point
- 45.720/54.951: questionable jump; hard to hear that repeat
- not sure if the grace notes at 24.951/30.226/56.599 (etc) were ignored intentionally or not, but they could give the player something different to look at because well…
- … this file is accurate and structured well, but it is horribly draggy.
- a cut might be possible for this song

Synchronized Hearts (hi19hi19)
Rating: 8/10 -> [+]
- very strongly feeling an old-school intent behind this file; it feels like circa 2006, like – even the patterns feel that way too
- some 16th notes have some lazy patterning that are staircase heavy, and while that would be an acceptable emulation, there should be a little bit more than that lackluster patterning
- the players who are still a bit behind in terms of grasping the current skill curve are absolutely going to love this file
- what the hell, this is nearly four minutes long? get out of here, didn’t even think it was close to that length, haha

The Big Sleep (VisD)
Rating: 5.5/10 -> [+?]
- 6.939/13.444: missing lyrics? (I ask because I thought it was intentional omission at first, but 15.165 made me think otherwise)
- 47.419/53.100/(etc): note changes here, so change your jump as well
- 50.455: a few too many notes in here
- 74.067: jumptrill is not quite correct in rhythm; the ending picks up pace a bit (you may want to break the split pattern for that particular one since it gets faster)
- 81.173 to 94.141: feels like there are a few jumps missing for missing bass drums (either that, or a few jumps to many for trumpet accenting, but it’s hard to tell because the audio seems a bit muddled here)
- 94.141 to 107.179: this section is extremely dense despite the song calming down a bit; rather than accenting both the snare and jumps at the same time, give some more attention to your melody with PR and only accent the snare with jumps
- 118.255: this lyric probably falls 1/16 before this
- 127.580: mini-jack seems accidental
- 130.620: gap? Why stop charting the percussion here?
- 133.053 to 146.010: not quite a full stream here; there are interruptions in the hi-hat sequence, and the guitar combined with the hi-hat doesn’t quite fill everything either – be a bit more concise in your structure
- the final chorus holds the same errors as mentioned earlier
- 161.773/162.037: remove these jumps
- chart is extremely heavy and could definitely be a lot smoother
- also, audio quality is somewhat poor

Tough Guy (Xiz)
Rating: 6.5/10 -> [+?]
- 36.891/38.541: inconsistency with layering (guitar gets 1, guitar gets 2?)
- 38.541: for PR purposes, this is a lower note than the two following it
- 86.391 to end: not feeling all of the jumps here; all other elements of the song completely disappear and yet this is the most intense part of the file.
- last triple is mean, remove that triple.
- chart is really goddamn good up until the last 20 seconds, which just completely ruined it for me.

Valentine (Gradiant)
Rating: 6/10 -> [+?]
- intro feels like it has a few ghost notes
- streams are alright, but you’re really losing out on some interesting accents like the deviations in the bass drum (25.064, 27.464, etc)
- 63.298/72.894: lol oops
- 65.773: I hear the claps, but they’re really not that pronounced and putting jumps to these is a bit overboard; this is an inherent flaw with the overall structure of the file
- 90.211: giving jumps to the quiet ride/hi-hat and the snares just looks strange
- last stream is a pretty big difficulty spike despite the previous runs because the accents are on up-beats and they occasionally create uncomfortable patterns
- 121.397: triple is pretty out of place here
- stream patterning really isn’t great, it just seems randomly thrown about with no attention to detail aside from things that take precedence as jumps
- file is kinda draggy because it really doesn’t have much differentiation to it, it’s got an intro, then streams, then a break, then a different melody still accented relatively similarly, then a break
- alright at best to me

ilikexd / bmah
Blue (DossarLX ODI) - 7.5/10

offset is 18ms early

20.6s - the pitch is descending here so it would make more sense to have the roll descending
52.16s - pr on this staircase is almost exactly backward
87.22s - backwards pr
119.4 - i don't think this is reasonable to have as a 32nd roll, there really is no sound that resembles 32nds 1x or any lower music rate, in addition to the fact that you already have a lot of other 32nd rolls stepped to a different sound

structure and jack usage was all good. pr was good in some places such as the intro and some of the 16ths, but in others was just backwards. i can understand varying the rolls between ascending and descending for the sa d synth ascends and descends in different parts

Breathe (DossarLX ODI) - 7/10

building up the 8ths to climax was good to alleviate some of the repetition of the track, but still i think it could be better and less draggy by not sticking to only [14] and [23] jumps

Arcanum Guardian (VisD) - PASS

i don't feel that i can impartially judge this as i've also stepped this and have some aspiration of sending my file someday

Revenge Of Mister Foxsky (Xiz) - 8/10

67.08s - would be good to include the bass kick 16th note
67.49s - same here on the 8th
72.13s - the 1414 melody is still the really audible thing at this point, it would be better to wait 1 or 2 beats before starting the jack
93.77s - very audible 24th drums that are being ignored

issues are pretty minor, this is quite a good chart

Against The Dragonflames (t-rogdor) - 4/10

18s - the 16ths starting here play like ghost notes
37.8s - 32nd minitrills at 240 bpm, especially when you put them back to back like at 41.4s are just a no, notes will be 1 frame apart
162s - even though the track calms down the layering is just as intense as anywhere, there doesn't seem to be much attention in capturing the ups and downs of the chart if not just layering everything at once throughout

Apocynthion Drive (Reshiram) - 6.5/10

24.132s - should just be two 16ths
24.665s - missing note
27.165s - 32nd is 1/32nd late
4.93s - pay attention to the js patterns - you have a hidden 432432 for four beats here
52s - hidden 123123 here as well
95.6s - these groups of 3 repeating notes come in groups of two, so it would be better to use the same jumps in groups of two
120s - i understand going from jumps to hands because the bass synth is joined by the lead synth, but it's still very quiet to start loading this section with hands and forcing so many minijacks everywhere
128s - well patterned to accentuate the background synth

much better from previous submission and cutting was a good choice
still there are quite a few things that can be improved on

Crab Nicholson Extreme Sleepover (GammaBlaster) - 7.5/10

there's no real issue with how any part is stepped but as a whole it starts to drag after a while. can be improved by switching up how the layering is done between the different synth sections

Flame Repellent (PrawnSkunk) - 8.5/10

103.95s - there should be no problem accenting this with 24ths or something
145.8s - missing 24ths before the 8th

good pr and a lot of good accenting in this chart

I (DarkZtar) - 4/10

17.3s - there are 2 missing bass piano notes and the last 2 notes are noticeably early
21.155s - there is absolutely no reason to start a 32nd roll at 240 bpm with a jump or even put jumps here in the first place when the thing they're corresponding too is completely overpowered by the sound of the bass drum
24.155s - starts getting offsync (early) here. these pauses arent exact full beats
37.76s - way overstepped, consider how youre stepping the fast bass drum at like 57.240s and 64.462s later in the file more conservatively, or just step each pitch change
40.059s - bizzare to step the very quiet hihat in this section over the louder bass kick
49.331s - synth is not 12ths for this beat
53.968s - ditto here, and they start in the previous beat
57.780s - lead synth plays here
61.225s - this polyrhythm with 8th jumps is way overstepped and doesnt at all play like what the songs sounds
66.040s - same 12ths thing, i don't think it's admissible even to represent that it's quieter and gets louder
61.959s - missing piano note
79.930s - missing bass kick
80.037s - missing bass kick
80.145s - missing bass kick
83.167s, 83.274s, 83.381s - ditto
83.328s - unneeded long anchor
other missing bass kicks past here
101.279s - missing bass piano
118.491s - this is not a 48th, its an 8th, the offset is just off by about 1/32nd
125.200s - kick and snare on the 16th
130.507s - ditto
137.031s - many missing 16ths in this and following beats
139.602s - 140.674s - all these 16ths are ghost notes

there is a structure and some good pr but countless errors and the whole chart is just way overstepped

Kodomoraibu (Razor) - 5.5/10

15.205s - hands appear to be going to crash but there is no crash here
19.725s - slightly better to not force the minijack here and just move 1 note in the jump
24.657s - i understand not putting jump to the kick when its multiple times in a row but its just isolated on a 4th here with vocal, so like the previous 4th, should be a jump too
27.122s - here there is no kick or snare or anything that would make this a jump
37.670s - minijacks are going to 12th spaced vocals and there is none here
40.136s - yet none is here
52.465s - ghost note
72.259s - missing synth notes
78.218s - ghost note
95.136s - color sync when bpm can easily be set and notes quantized, the slowdown being colored would have been ok but not the whole thing, also pr can be improved

for the whole chart layering was quite ambiguous and minijack usage inconsistent, and there are quite a few ghost notes

Lexus Cyanixs (Reshiram) - 3/10

5.260s - plays like a ghost note and is the same sound at 5.593s anyway
6.010s - early
6.593s - ghost note
6.926s - jumps to single piano notes doesn't make sense
9.760s - quad for just a snare+piano?
11.093s - quad for just a snare???
13.426 - extremely inaccurate, most of the 48ths stepped dont go to any sound
34.760s - what's with the quad usage? again it's just a snare with a background sound and it's not even as loud as the sound on the previous 8th
39.426s - jump should be on the 16th before
41.760s, 43.093s - using snare for every snare is just absurd, it works fine for accents like 44.926s, but youve used it all over the place in the chart
54.093s - there are no 32nds here, the audio quality is pretty poor, but it just sounds like 16ths
58.426s - this isn't even remotely accurate
60.093s - this is a quad to just one soft sound?
64.093s - again nonsensical quad, and missing 16ths around it

so much of the chart doesn't make sense

Moonglow (samurai7694) - 7/10

offset is about 25ms late
beats 34-38 64th usage is pretty inaccurate
beat 129 - 4th should be a jump
beat 220-221 - 12th drums

the patterns are well crafted to accentuate the drum patterns, but they get copy pasted a bit too much by the end and the chart starts to drag
some of the 32nds that go to barely audible hi hats feel like ghost notes

Po Pi Po Kouka de Uchi no Miku wa Kyou mo Genki Desu (0) - 6/10

46.728s - minijack is ghost note (it's just a sustained synth)

everything stepped at once leaves the chart feeling quite overlayered
cut is quite abrupt

Reincarnated Girl and Reincarnated Boy (Yulanik) - 4/10

15.600s - this is just a 32nd triplet starting at 15.663s
18.381s - there is nothing on the 32nd
22.23s - missing piano note
24.603s - starting here i don't understand any of the layering in the chart as in what the jumps are going to
33.603s - white notes just seem random
33.728s - drum fill is 12ths
still past here i don't understand any of the layering
125.603s - whole solo is inaccurate

Silent Wind (0) - 7/10

nothing at all changed in this file so i have nothing new to say

Star Girl and the Fantasy Cinema (Yulanik) - 4/10

jump usage is ambiguous in intro piano and there are some missing notes
there are a lot of missing drum fills throughout the file
most of the layering/jump is inconsistent or doesn't make sense throughout the file
white/green notes are used in places where it's just constant 12ths

sylcymk's theme (VisD) - 8.5/10

nothing bad i can point out, chart is structured well, pr is good, and track is quite interesting, a bit heavy and convoluted at times considering the softness of the music, but nothing major at all

Truth (xKore Remix) [Razor & Xiz] - 7/10

24.209s - ghost note
27.209s - doesnt make sense as jump
26.952s - ghost note
29.952s - doesnt make sense as jump
this drum pattern repeats and so do those errors
34.066s - would be neat to start layering in the vocals and accentuate the fact that the track is building up by building up the chart
43.409s - ghost note
44.780s - ghost note
101.693s - why isnt this 16th a jump since it has a kick on it?
104.435s, 107.178s, 109.921s - ditto

there is a good structure but a few errors that repeat along with the repeating drum patterns in the track

unisonote (bmah) - 8/10

i understand the layering in the beginning but it gets quite unintuitively heavy considering how calm the music is
otherwise the rest of the chart is pretty good, all the layering makes sense and the pr is on point. the only complaint i have is about the beginning specifically for how liberal the hand usage throughout makes the hands somewhat lose their accentuating effect

Akasha / DarkZtar
rating: 7.5/10 [+.]
- 4.66s: jump to both the main violin + bell
- 37.90s: this is fine, but consider a [23] jump as the up arrow would actually be more right-hand friendly
- 49.99s,54.69s,60.36s,62.47s,62.96s,97.50s,etc.: missing 16th to this type of pattern; check the entire song as this melody occurs later on as well (strangely you acknowledged 157.18s)
- 63.36s,63.85s,etc.: the jacks might be better off as non-jack 16ths, and for more than just playability - you'll notice there are missing 16ths as well in relation to the above point
- 68.23s: jump to cymbal crash
- 70.42s-85.09s: misplaced 4th jump for a 16th chord sound. Check the subsequent area for similar cases: missing jumps (e.g. 75.69s), unnecessary jumps (e.g. 74.96s) and even sections that seem to be completely off (e.g. 75.12-28s = ???). If you're putting jumps to emphasized piano sounds or chords, then consistency is a must, considering how subjective any emphasis can be. And there are also a few missing sounds apart from emphasized piano (e.g. 77.96s cymbal crash).
- 135.36s,143.15s,145.74s: the parts I've highlighted here are ones where I consider the transition from 16th jacks to 24ths awkward, and it's mainly because the 24th patterns are not very fluid
- 151.58s,161.63s,161.96s,162.28s: jump to cymbal crash
- Summary: A fabulously interesting file with a lot to discover. There are a number of glaring errors, plus a few suggestions I have to make it play more fluidly. Consider these.

Big Up Toronto / ___________
rating: 5/10 [+?]
- 1.05-9.51s,etc.: much of this section is very noticeably offbeat, despite what was probably a good effort in trying to sync this section. Fix this as the pattern permeates other areas later on in the song.
- 14.54s: why are these suddenly 12th jumps?
- 20.52-30.59s: jumps on quiet drum'n bass makes this feel denser than it should be; IMO the jumps should really only begin appearing around the time claps are introduced
- 41.13-60.48s: the jumps are inconsistent to the melody, and still would be inconsistent even if viewed from a technically layered perspective. e.g. why is 42.39s not a jump even though it follows the melody AND has a bass drum? On the other hand, you have 4th beats overly emphasized with hands (e.g. 42.86s) that doesn't seem to follow anything particularly noteworthy.
- 82.19s,82.50s,etc.: again, jumps going to overly quiet sounds, especially if these sounds are isolated, feels overdone. Just wait till the claps appear.
- 95.17s: why 16th jump?
- 100.75-120.57s: While correcting any offbeat wub sounds (see my first point), consider pattern flow: some are just plain awkward to play due to uncomfortably positioned anchors, such as at 105.78s,108.30s,109.28s.
- Summary: There appears to be a good attempt at variety, but please consider the accuracy of those wubs along with patterns towards the end.

Crucial / VisD
rating: 6/10 [+?]
- 6.83s,16.43s: optional, but there are a few secondary 12th sounds
- 20.84s,61.63s,etc.: a few guitar sounds are slightly offbeat, and you should try to account for it so as to not trip players up on these isolated sounds
- 40.59-42.34s: these feel offbeat; probably just 4ths
- 66.43-66.58s,66.88s,68.08s,etc.: are these ghost arrows? They sure seem like it, else they probably go to some very quiet sounds, which isn't suitable considering how you've generalized sounds previously (e.g. leaving out the 12ths back in the beginning of the song)
- PR is decent
- Summary: From around 66.43s onwards, there are many questionable places of potential ghost arrows. Overall it comes down to the inconsistency in stepping audible vs non-audible sounds. The file also drags on a bit more than expected.

DARK KNIGHT / hi19hi19
rating: 8/10 [+]
- 17.27s,19.97s,etc.: optional but feel free to accentuate certain parts with more jumps to better follow the melody instead of just the drums
- throughout the meat of the song, I felt that acknowledging the lyrics could add a bit more flavor to a mostly dry middle (which can't be helped too much). The steps go perfectly well to the instrumentals, but try stepping the lyrics as well.
- very good PR
- Summary: A really neat and tidy file that plays quite smoothly (e.g. the 24ths are stepped fluidly). My only suggestion is to acknowledge a bit more of the main melody/lyrics.

Fighting of the Spirit / Reshiram
rating: 7.5/10 [+.]
- 10.16s: burst is opposing the PR
- 16.41s: don't think a quad is warranted here
- 45.49-47.37s: there are more emphasized sounds to place the jumps instead of these
- 66.75-67.22s: nice color theory, but you seem to misplace them here
- 75.35s,etc.: I hear what these 16ths go to, but they're pretty quiet and seem out of place, not to mention seem to sacrifice the main melody at places like 77.39s. I suppose it adds variety though.
- 114.44s,etc.: a few 16ths missing from the drums; check other places to see if you're missing any more
- the song drags on for a bit, but it sounds like a cut can easily be achieved
- Summary: Minor technical stuff, but I mostly would prefer a repetitive middle part of the song to be cut out. The file plays pretty well however, especially the PR of the 16th streams.

Flounder / SKG_Scintill
rating: 9/10 [+]
- 15.05s,102.73s: missed part of the short drumroll
- 19.77s,27.45s,etc.: jump to emphasize the drum as well (or a single note at 23.61s though I understand why you ignored that particular one)
- 85.83s,130.51s,175.63s,etc.: I don't agree on a few bursts going into what is essentially just guitar portamento/modulation, but this is subjective
- Summary: With great fluidity, PR, interesting patterns, this is a fabulous file.

kotobatoraborato / 0
rating: 7/10 [+.]
- 46.18s,121.18s: don't hear the 16ths here
- even though there are many places where multiple sounds/lyrics are playing 8th notes simultaneously, I feel it's better to tone down the layering a bit, especially since it tends to reduce pattern variety
- I also definitely recommend a song cut as the song practically plays twice
- PR is good and the stepping is easy to understand
- Summary: The file is a bit too heavy on the layering, and you should definitely cut the song. The file is otherwise pretty crisp.

Lethargic Slumber / Razor
rating: 6.5/10 [+?]
- 27.09s,etc.: don't sacrifice the lyrics/melody while you represent quieter sounds!
- 53.20s: do we need a jump here?
- 56.59s,etc.: missing jumps to obvious drums
- 61.67s: on the other hand, why is this a jump?
- 63.37-66.08s,etc.: the lyrics are quite prominent, why ignore them?
- 76.59s,120.67s: subjective, but I feel this accentuation is a single arrow
- 76.93-98.63s: you're missing out on a lot of potential variety here with an additional synth melody going on; to continue the usual mainly-4th patterns is boring
- 87.02s: missed an obvious 16th drum
- 104.06s: questionable hand
- 114.31s: ghost 16th
- 121.69-140.68s: these are good 16th patterns, but they do get repetitive, so mix it up a bit
- 149.15-163.39s: there's a new synth that fades in, why not acknowledge that?
- 182.38s: jump to lyrics
- 191.38-192.39s: what happened to the steps of the lyrics?
- 194.94s: a completely ghost jump
- 210.53s: I don't hear these 12ths
- Summary: There's a lot of missed potential here, not to mention other inconsistencies. A large percentage of the file is 4ths, and it could definitely be a lot more exciting.

Lettuce Regulation / DossarLX ODI & Xiz
rating: 7/10 [+.]
- 12.70s,13.68s,etc.: the beginning drums are missing jumps from layering; considering how isolated they sound, not stepping them stands out pretty easily
- 27.80s: 24th ghost arrow
- 54.43-58.99s,etc.: I'm not really a fan of how a single 16th stream melds in both the sound clips and the bass drums without any further distinction; it just gives way to nebulous stepping (and other jumps like 61.93s appear random)
- Summary: A deliberate underlayering is good in some cases, but in other cases such as this, the steps appear to have less of a distinct direction. Other than that, the file plays fine.

New World Disorder / .Gazelle.
rating: 8.5/10 [+]
- 84.32s,etc.: the hands here seem a bit heavy-handed (lol) but considering how it contrasts against the subsequent section, it works fine
- 101.15s,etc.: the 16th I hear, but it's so quiet that it's negligible
- 108.32s: hand to cymbal crash? (similarly, 111.75s as a quad?)
- 110.04s: you can try adding the 12ths here, considering the fact that it is the main melody after all
- 138.61s: 12th jump to the last of the melody!
- Summary: I recall you sending this file before. It is now fabulous!

Rape / hi19hi19
rating: 6.5/10 [+?]
- 6.01s,17.88s,etc.: really tight 24ths at this bpm. They're ok in some instances, but as other patterns transition into it, they become less reasonable such as at 10.16s. Consider a longer-running roll pattern or something that gives more space than 123234.
- 18.17s,64.16s: similarly, a 1234321 24th pattern is tight and may cause framer issues at their turning points. Again, fine when more isolated, but beware of transitions (e.g. 18.47s transitioning into 32nd rolls)
- 11.05s,23.51s,26.18s,55.85s,etc.: the problem with these 32nd rolls is that they begin with a jump and have a difficult transitioning to and/or from them. Other 32nd rolls beginning with a jump are more feasible, but definitely be wary of more awkward variations.
- Summary: I realize the steps stay true to the song's name, but that doesn't mean the patterns can't be improved. The file was actually rather fun, but certain patterns and transitionings killed a lot of it.

- I literally found very few technical errors, but the song (and subsequently its patterns) drags on for a long time with little variation. It becomes quite monotonous.
- Summary: I recall judging this before, and it doesn't seem like much has changed at all, if any. Please refrain from constantly doing this, as it wastes the judge's time.

Shotgun Senorita / XelNya
rating: 7.5/10 [+.]
- 0.42s: jump
- good PR and pattern variety for the main guitar melody
- 16.92s: the 43212 seem a bit out of place (although it's doable); try to avoid creating a 32nd minitrill
- 21.61s: you can still continue the 16th percussions while having the repeated 8th notes on the right arrow
- 23.39s: ghost 16th
- 42.42-48.42s: this part isn't represented very well with 16ths, even though they're clearly audible at a lower music rate. Instead, I'd just focus on the 8th drums. There are also some plain nonexistent 16ths near the end of this section.
- 48.60s,51.23s,51.60s,etc.: a number of these 8ths don't exist if you're stepping to the synth melody
- 72.41s: jump
- 96.23s: missing arrow to drum
- 97.54-107.29s: you're missing a lot of the interesting synth fading in and out here; it'd definitely be interesting
- 120.18s: (accidental?) ghost 32nd
- 127.16-128.85s: not a fan of the 42321 pattern. It's surely doable, but feels very out of place in difficulty with the rest of the file. Try a more flowy pattern.
- 135.41-138.41s: there's a lot of rhythmic variety, but why are all of the steps the same [34] jumps then? Also I don't quite understan the 16ths here.
- Summary: The chart really isn't all that bad, but a few 32nd patterns feel out of place compared to the rest of the file. Overall fairly enjoyable.

Sonata (Sanxion7 remix) / M0nkeyz
rating: 6.5/10 [+?]
- 5.36s,8.92s: should be a right arrow according to PR
- 12.47s,15.58s: missing jumps from layering
- 18.25-44.92s: this whole section is littered with missing 16ths going to the synth. Listen carefully as you'll find areas like 19.70s and 20.81s are missing 16ths.
- 52.47s,etc.: could use better PR
- 60.92-63.03s,etc.: this whole area is actually entirely 16ths, but it's quite acceptable to only highlight the emphasized gallops
- 75.47-77.36s,etc.: unfortunately the jacks don't represent the melody well, and adds artificial difficulty. Stick with the gallopy patterns.
- 75.58-76.03s,etc.: within the aformentioned sections, there are some 16th synths you should definitely add for interest
- 89.36-101.81s: the song definitely doesn't feel any less energetic that would merit a halved bpm change, in addition to a very underlayered section. I understand that it actually adds variety to the file (almost as some sort of necessity), but it's mostly the song's repetitive nature that will force one to find an innovative way to make the steps more interesting. This is a nice attempt, but doesn't quite fit.
- 131.70s: I understand why you made this a 16th jump, but you might as well finish the rest of the drumroll with jumptrills or ignore putting jumps here altogether.
- 132.47s,136.03s: could use better PR
- Summary: This file is a good improvement over your past files. However, the song doesn't offer a whole lot and that's an uphill battle there. In addition, be more mindful of pitch relevancy.

Spectrum (Assertive Remix) / bmah & Xiz
rating: N/A
- A collab I did with Xiz.

Steel Dragon / DarkZtar
rating: 7.5/10 [+.]
- 24.95s,30.23s,etc.: you can add a small gallop to the grace note if you like
- 33.36s,65.01s: no main melody, so no jump
- 146.60s: misplaced jump to the melody
- Summary: The file is very well stepped, but the song is so repetitive with very little rhythmical variety outside of the 16th triplets. Is there a way you can cut the song? The song would really benefit from that.

Synchronized Hearts / hi19hi19
rating: 7.5/10 [+.]
- this file is very friendly towards novices with the very controlled lack of layering, but in some instances this creates noticeable gaps in difficulty between various sections of the song
- 13.66s,etc.: I'm just curious, but why were the lyrics stepped almost exclusively with jumps? Is this for purposes of following the lyrics better?
- 13.66-19.88s,etc.: I feel that a number of the lyrical sections have far too many long gaps, which presents a disconnect from the more dense, instrumental sections. I think it's a matter of surveying each section and determining its overall density in relation to adjacent areas, and this should be kept in mind even with the goal of following certain parts of the music in a very simple way.
- the 8ths going to the lyrics are generalized, but this is the right thing to do in an easier file like this
- 50.73s: the 16th synth begins here
- 69.81s,etc.: I suppose the unlayered 16th streams are one of the main highlights of the file, but they follow more secondary sounds which seems a little counterintuitive to easily following the music. Even so, I'd say that certain sounds such as the cymbal crashes are very distinct and should be stepped, as they're also sparse. Entirely subjective, but the streams are overall acceptable.
- file drags on a bit (and so does the thematic patterns of the file); can you cut it?
- Summary: You have an interesting approach to stepping this file, and it works for the most part. However, there are definitely ways to fine-tune the balance of difficulty, amongst other things.

The Big Sleep / VisD
rating: 7.5/10 [+.]
- note: do you have a better mp3 quality for this song? I hear a bunch of clipping, particularly near the latter parts of the song.
- inconsistencies on lyrics: look at 6.94s,13.44s,18.08s
- at the beginning, it might be better to make a clearer distinction between the scant instrumentals and the lyrics by not stepping the triplet 16th hi-hats. You have 16ths currently going to quiet sounds and then suddenly you get a less dense 8th-only stream just because you decide to follow the lyrics at that point. Instead, just go with the 4th note wood block sounds and perhaps the occasional guitar strums for the instrumentals, while focusing on the lyrics.
- 47.42s,etc.: throughout the song, listen and you'll notice a PR error at these exact spots
- 50.46s,55.92s: I think you're complicating the drum patterns here. Some of these arrows are legit, but others are ghost arrows and only appear to be weird bursts upon slower musical rates.
- 74.07s: I feel this jumptrill is still slightly off
- 93.34s: 16th jump according to your previous emphasized jumps
- 99.82s: I feel the 24ths as jumps are too dense for a drumroll that's a bit on the softer side
- 113.59s: jump
- 118.26s: noticeable erroneous syncing of the lyrics (it's a bit earlier)
- 127.68s: why a random jack here?
- 129.40s: shouldn't this be a single arrow according to the sounds you're emphasizing?
- 130.62-131.23s: don't stop stepping the instruments here!
- 133.05-145.43s: this section is not one continuous 16th stream. There are breaks, so listen carefully at places such as 133.56s (jump to drum and guitar strum), 133.66s (ghost arrow), 135.30s (ghost arrow), and so on. Also, the set of jumps at 137.43s is very random.
- Summary: There are quite a few noticeable mishaps, but I felt this file was structured well enough to be decently fabulous. Please see if you can use an mp3 that doesn't have sound clipping. Energetic!

Tough Guy / Xiz
rating: 8/10 [+]
- hey hey! The author of Tough Guy is NOT an Unknown Artist!
- 65.84s: should be a single arrow
- 66.74s: ghost jump
- 69.59-71.99s,etc.: optional, but if you can fit in the background 16th guitar struts, that'd make for a cool combination
- 74.39-76.19s: don't forget jumps on the 4ths, as this 24th section isn't isolated in its sound unlike the previous section near the beginning of the song
- 86.39s,etc.: I don't quite agree with the loud guitar struts being entirely jumps, as that doesn't leave room for interesting layering when introduced (e.g. 100.79s), but this is subjective
- 86.69s,87.89s,etc.: a bit of a PR issue with the melody in these places, but I don't mind the current patterns as they avoid a bit of the 16th jacks that may otherwise occur
- 104.99s: the very last drum kick is very distinct, but adding a hand is still rather mean, especially at the end of the file. You wouldn't need to do this if the drumroll was comprised of single arrows (and possible layering) instead of entirely jumps!
- Summary: Very clean and solidly fun to play, but reconsider the very last part of the song to avoid players cursing at you!

Valentine / Gradiant
rating: 7.5/10 [+.]
- syncing is a bit early, and is particularly noticeable in places like around 19.44s
- 6.10-6.25s,etc.: these two 8ths are ghost notes
- some parts of the numerous 16th streams don't flow too well due to unintuitive patterns, such as at 34.88-35.34s for instance. Overall though not a major problem.
- I also noticed that you didn't step the drums in the 16th streams, only the claps. This is quite fine, but you may want to make an exception for the gallop 16th drums in a few places such as 41.86s. Could be an interesting touch.
- 42.38s: missed 8th to piano
- 51.83-61.42s: nice gradual layering/climax theory. In the meanwhile, you missed out on a number of cymbal crashes (e.g. 53.78s,58.58s,etc.)
- 63.30s,72.89s: mistaken jump placement? I don't get it.
- 65.85-66.00s,75.44-75.59s: I don't quite get these short jumptrills, namely the 16th jumps. If they go to some syncopated bass drums, then they're synced wrong. If not, then idk.
- 121.40s: don't think this needs a hand
- Summary: Fun song and file. The only thing I really didn't understand were some jump placements within one particular 16th stream. This song reminds me a bit of FREEDOM DIVE.

Resubmission:

WANDERLUST / Gradiant
rating: 5/10 [+?]
- 18.06s: the 24ths are actually 16ths, but generalizing them as 24ths is acceptable
- 33.66s,etc.: wow, what happened to the original steps? This may be more technically accurate, but it causes some pretty nasty transitions in and out of emphasized jumps. It also creates some uncomfortable anchors, but this is more noticeable in the latter part of the song. At this bpm, it's difficult to avoid these issues, so I would delayer things a bit.
- 82.65s: no need for this white arrow
- 87.18s: no need for this 4th
- 146.45s: jump to melody
- 149.09s: optional, but considering how sparse the melody is, you can layer it in the 24ths
- the new middle part of the song is nice for a while, but drags on for a while, and really contrasts against the difficulty of the rest of the file.
- 159.17-202.37s: this section of the song is kinda asinine. You have an easy middle section (that's already overstayed its welcome) suddenly assaulted with long trills and 16th anchor jacks. It might be fine for a few patterns, but all of the 32nds are literally trills. Mix up the patterns a bit and give the players a break.
- 202.61-229.26s: the last part of the song is far more difficult than I ever remember it, not to mention twice as long. The main problems here are closely packed 12th jumps and 24th streams/jumps in conjunction with the dense 16th streams, plus 8th anchor jumps (e.g. the [14] jumps) all over. Even for an advanced player, this is a very unfriendly climax.
- Summary: The file introduces some new parts of the song, and to that, some new elements. Some new additions were fine (e.g. middle portion of the song), but the rest upped the difficulty in a frustrating fashion. Props to a very detailed and structured file, but now's the time to water things out a bit and find the right balance of difficulty and playability.

[size=5][b]jimerax / kommisar
( M ) Blue (DossarLX ODI) [7/10]

m17-23 - not very audible, but felt there are some ghost 16th notes (seven 16th notes + 16th interval?)
m57 - misrhythm/can be synced better for synth
m88 - first 32nd roll can be a 16th?

felt some ot very audible streams/broken streams and bursts are questionable, but overall accurate and enjoyable.

( M ) Breathe (DossarLX ODI) [7/10]

Decent easy file, structure changes are used for avoiding repetitiveness.
PR can be used on some parts but okay since they are at least index/pad friendly.

[Resubmission] Arcanum Guardian (VisD) [8/10]

m29 - for 12th jumps, [12][12][23][34][23][12] instead of [12][23][34][34][23][12]
m38, m54 - some patten change can be added for hands

Overall structured well, and has interesting features and much replay value.

[RESUBMISSION] Revenge Of Mister Foxsky (Xiz) [6/10]

parts like m10-/m38- jumps for all 8ths (handclaps) needed? they get a bit redundant imo.
m32-35 - pattern change on not very audible part
m36-50 - getting a bit repetitive, structure-wise

Technically there are few errors. Maybe due to the song, but there can be style/structure change
to be more fun. overall decent though.

Against The Dragonflames (t-rogdor) [5/10]

parts like m36, m40- mini-trills may be picked just for difficulty factors, but they are just quite awkward/spikey
m145, and similar parts - semi-long 8th jacks which aren't relevant to song intensity appear due to pattern choice
m152 - 16ths can be trilly
m177- - questionable 16th triplet rhythms

there are decent/fun parts in the file, but felt some difficulty oriented parts ruin the chart.

Apocynthion Drive (Reshiram) [6/10]

m24 - missing note?
m26-29 - some notes are poorly synced
m90 - 16ths can be layered
m113 - hands are too strong for the music

harder-side but no remarkable spikes, and reasonable structure.
mildly enjoyable, and some minor tweaks can be added.

Crab Nicholson Extreme Sleepover (GammaBlaster) [6.5/10]

m1-8, m81- - melody patterns should be PR
- some grace notes are a bit offsync.

swing rhythms are quite unique and interesting.
layering for bass drums may result in jump overuse but okay.

Drumhead Trial (Condoct) [4/10]

- quite similar structure from m5 to m79 (very long part), this part can be cut
- m148-161 - can be watered down more
- Way too many to write here, there are notes that don't go with instruments (also 32nd -> 24th errors).

less errors, repetitiveness to be more fun, needs major tweaks.

Flame Repellent (PrawnSkunk) [6/10]

m20 - 16th or 32nds instead of 24ths
m32 - 32nds can be PR instead of spins?
m36/40/43/44 etc - 24ths -> 32nds

stepped solidly overall, erroneous parts should be tweaked, though.
There are some potential parts but if you don't make this a harder file, the structure is fine.

I (DarkZtar) [5/10]

m12-13 - can understand what you want to express but awkward to hit.
m23-25 - sometimes missing a 16th note
m39-46, etc - the sounds aren't clear enough to step like this (12ths & 16ths)
m50-53 - piano layering makes it too complicated, other layers can be watered down
m79 - awkward burst
m83 - redundant quads x 5 hits

semi-long but there are varieties in features.
some problems are seen in mainly pattern choice/playability.

Komodoraibu (Razor) [8/10]

m44 - didn't understand what the last 24th is going with (also notes for high tone synth can be put)

Technically almost no major issues, good jack usage and playability.

Lexus Cyanixs (Reshiram) [4.5/10]

m7, 8, 10 - jumps in burst, quad are over-emphasized. same with other snare parts.
m35 - one extra note for fast bass drum
m38 - those 48th grace notes are off
m40 - butsts are spikey rather than fun
m43 - misrhythms (48th->32nds)
m44-52 - not writing all here, either misrhythms or awkward pattern choice

There are many errors/incomprehensible/awkward parts.
Major tweaks can be added for accuracy / playability.

Moonglow (samurai7694) [7/10]

m10 - weird minijack placement?
m16 b2 - 16ths can be repeating triplet patterns
m50-54 jumps in 12th/16th polyrhythms are kinda awkward to hit (also patterns can be improved)
m57-end - except for complicated drum parts, stepped in similar way. can go with the sax parts more accurately.

Good expression of drum parts, moderately fun.
Second harf is dragging on / long, song cut or stepping style change is preferred to avoid repetitiveness.

Po Pi Po Kouka de Uchi no Miku wa Kyou mo Genki Desu (0) [6.5/10]

no major errors, a bit overlayered side but stepped properly as a whole.
both song/chart are quite monotonous though.

Reincarnated Girl and Reincarnated Boy (Yulanik) [4.5/10]

m14 - missing piano rhythms?
m18-19, 58 - 16th -> 12th
m42 - stepping target is inconsistent
m50 - those drums are just 24ths
m75, 88, 90 - 32nd -> 24th
m75 - a grace note can be put for the consistency?
m82 - notes for the guitar melody should be added
m99-103 - PR fpr piano can be improved

Aside from things listed above, there are still many minor errors.
I know some structures/patterns are intended to be fun but need more perfection.

Silent Wind (0) [6.5/10]

m1b3 - didn't see the reason why a jump is put for bassdrum here (and all of similar parts)
m37 - spikey minijack

Mostly properly stepped.
There are short-repetitions in the song, hopefully cut them more.
If this is a bit less repetitive then it will be more fun.

Star Girl and the Fantasy Cinema (Yulanik) [4/10]

m1-4 - rhythms of some notes are wrong, PR could be better
m6, m71 - improve PR
m23 - spikey pattern for no good reason
m25-26, m31-37, etc - missing a 12th for organ consistently
m30 - sync should be better
m40 - notes for drums can be added
m44-45 - weird rhythm choice
m47 - last 24th note of the burst unneeded?
m50 - missing 16th for organ
m89- 24th placement (missing notes)

same with other files you have submitted, major tweaks are required to make it enjoyable.

sylcymk's theme (VisD) [7.5/10]

m10/14 - felt 16th jumpjacks don't fit the sound well.. not a big issue tho
m66-67 - PR can be improved
- don't always need to put jumps particular percussion sounds (snares, etc), imo

Technically almost okay (there might be semi-ghost notes..).
Overall good structure and enjoyable file.

Truth (xKore Remix) [Razor & Xiz] [6.5/10]

m16-33 - in each section there's a ghost 16th note.
m68 - missing a note after jumprtill

basically structured well, moderately enjoyable.
minor tweaks can be added.

unisonote (bmah) [7.5/10]

m8 - not big issue but steped a bit too strongly for the music?
m26-27 - 16th placement for hihat is off (inconsistent with other parts too)
m62(b4) - piano is 24th+16th

Technically almost fine and good playability, just can add minor twaks.

Akasha (6.5/10)
-beat 66.750 16th note here missed, also on the next 16th offbeat missed to percussions, just feels empty without them
-file is pretty simple and straight forward. no bs patterns but feels a tad generic.

Big Up Toronto (4/10)
-first few mesures i don't get why there are flam notes when only one note is playing (ex: 4th note at m8)
-the burst patterns are a bit of a mess
-once the song picks up it really feels overlayered for no given reason.
-during the scratch section it's layered very generically and I feel like more accents could be added to the scratches rather than just percussions

Crucial (6.5/10)
-beat 27 I hear it's the same guitar note being played yet notes are placed going up, if you don't want a jack here maybe just a 1-2 trill (though I see you use them later on soooo) Not a big deal but when not a whole lot is going on in your file it stands out a lot
-wish the beginning/end didn't drag on so much but the rest is alright.

Dark Knight (7/10)
-nothing really to point out here. really simple and plain.

Fighting of the Spirit (4/10)
-I think this is actually the 843902849032th time someone steps this, don't quote me on that
-m14 why is this a quad, I don't hear any grenades going off (plus it's inconsistent with the rest of this section)
-m20 in this whole section you ignore some pretty prominent drum kicks yet follow everything else (ex:beat 82 has a 4th note)
-the use of flam notes is a little inconsistent with the guitar notes (technically there should be plenty more). maybe best not to use them unless it's super accentuated.
-m56 I was ok with the 32nds last time this guitar/synth slide happened, but here you add 48ths? why?
-m86 there's no reason these notes should be colored (and you missed one on beat 342.000)
-beat 382 i have no idea where you hear all those 12th notes. I just hear the 16th percs
-lots of little fixes needed here

Flounder (9/10)
-I'm mad at you for not stepping that bass breakdown.
-This is basically everything right about simfiles.

Kotobatoraborato (3/10)
-who the fuck sync'd the start of this and was it really necessary
-so the file is really boring and overlayered and offers nothing fun. sorry. File is also slightly late sync wise

Lethargic Slumber (7/10)
-sync slightly late (maybe -0.02, nothing huge)
-This is a static bpm. if you're going to use ddream stop drifting the bpm every mesure.
-sync seems to go slightly off near the end

Lettuce Regulation (7/10)
-well then

New World Disorder (8/10)
-beat 47.5 missed 8th note

Rape (#/10)
-passing this one.

Sfjskalhisinis (2/10)
-I really can't accept this file. it's about as fun as it sounds to perform on a piano

Shotgun Senorita (4/10)
-first section the guitar notes are going down, they shouldn't be placed as mini-jacks. pitch relevancy is completely off
-m15 you completely ignore the percussions here all of a sudden
-lots of inconsistencies and missed opportunities in this file. some 16ths should be 32nds at times and some jumps are questionnable.

Sonata (!/10)
-2 .sm files. get yo shit together

Spectrum (5.5/10)
-I'm not a fan of the file. It just has 8th runs with jumps on vocals for most of the choruses. the dnb parts make up for it a bit but are few and far in between.

Steel Dragon (3/10)
-blame it on song choice, but having to do 3 note 16th gallops over and over becomes incredibly tedious

Synchonized Hearts (4/10)
-kinda weird that you alternate between synth and vocals. feels really empty and inconsistent.
-the whole alternating thing happens throughout the file and it's too empty at parts, only to be followed by a giant stream of single notes. Needs more accentuation and variety to fill in the holes.

The Big Sleep (9/10)
-This is absolutely fantastic.

Tough Guy (8/10)
-This is a great example of taking relatively simple rhythms and making the patterns comfortable and diverse enough to be enjoyable. good job.

Valentine (3/10)
-the file doesn't offer much more than generic 16th jumpstreams. nothing else is accentuated or emphasized at all.

Wanderlust (6/10)
-shouldn't all the 24ths at the start be 32nds?
-my suggestion for a file this speed is avoid using too many [14][23][14] jump trills because of its awkwardness.
-my only real complaint with the whole file is pattern useage during the faster sections.
