I think CarrotCake wishes to keep this a whole D2 thing. You have to have at least 500 plays to be placed (minimum requirement for official tournaments), and at least D2, but we do have a few D1 players who hang around just for the fun of it. You need 500 plays to have a decent set of levelranks, which is what your division placement is based on.
There's always the time to practice, and to get into D2 though!  Getting into D2 didn't take me long at all.
EDIT: You can always PM her and ask though. It wouldn't hurt.
