For the first article, refer to Option Two: Install Crouton to run Linux, within which you could install Wine (software that runs Windows programs on non-Windows operating systems). The second article contains instructions on installing Crouton.
The reason why you can't just install Wine on Chromebooks is because there isn't a version of Wine that works on ChromeOS. So, we need to install an additional operating system that Wine supports, which is Linux in this case.
There is another way: If the Chromebook you're using isn't a school laptop, and you don't need ChromeOS for anything else other than homework, you
could try to remove ChromeOS and install Linux so that you could get FFR running. But that is a relatively risky method, and it's probably excessive for your case.
