You're not going to have to pay to play D3. It's a fact. D3 is going to be hosted on battle.net, unlike WoW. Blizz decided not to put WoW on Battle.net because they strictly wanted to keep bnet free. We know for a fact that D3 is still going to be on Bnet, so you don't have to worry about paying for it.
