What are some new skills you've acquired in 2021?
For me,
• Learning how to live in a van (for a little while)
• How to fix toilets
• Run a CNC router machine
• Run a laser engraving machine
• Learn a big chunk of the edible/medicinal and inedible wild mushrooms in my area
• Some other things, like remembering that Alt+NUM7 is a bullet point •_•
Pending:
• Learning how to fix a camera lens. I bought a $400 lens which does not function. The -me- from two months ago was very confident that I could figure it out, I've yet to have time to spend a day taking it apart and diagnosing what's wrong.
• Figuring out how to bypass the 15 minute timeout on an old tube/CRT TV oscilloscope I put together. I just have to find the part of the board looking for there to be a signal sent to it, as it shuts off if there is no cable/antenna signal after 15 mins.
• How to make a roof out of salvaged parts of a broken barn
• How to convert a 1/3HP motor from an old piece of dental equipment into something cool (either a bench grinder, a cool cat toy, or an ultrasonic/vibrating tray for getting debris off things..?)
