The sex a person is born with and the gender they identify with are not necessarily the same thing. Using generic he/she pronouns is currently common. However, If someone wants to be referred to by "they" or "ze" or anything else then I really don't think it's that difficult to oblige. Do what you think people will appreciate. That's different from calling someone "master" or some other unearned authoritative title.

Don't worry lol. Also, to be honest it's Simply because it makes it harder for me to read without having to stop at every "they" to see if it's plural or Renard. Like I totally wouldn't mind calling him Renard everytime or John or Sarah you know, any name. That's why I say it really shouldn't be taken as offensive.
