Re: The Revolution (Wii) is Here.
I'm going to try to preorder even though I fully intend to camp outside the store until it opens on release day. :P
What's wrong with preordering? I have actually had mulitple discussions with workers at EB Games where they did all they could to stress that they NEED preorders (this is in general, not Wii-specific), because the number of preorders they get directly influences how many units they get shipped. The guy told me numerous times that if they don't get many preorders, they aren't getting many units and there's nothing they can do about it and end up with many gamers unhappy when the shipment finally comes and then sells out in minutes.
So yeah, if you're planning on getting it from a certain place, preordering is a good thing. If you want to shop around and hope for a better deal like at Costco, go for it, but it's risking your ability to get one on release day or really for a while afterwards.
