Re: What does your FFR name mean?
I first saw the word "Squeak" misspelled purposely in 1992 during a long car trip up north. Jim Davis, the artist who draws Garfield, chose a new character to appear in his comic strips. The introduction of the character occurs when Garfield accidentally steps on a mouse, apologizes, then names the mouse "Squeek".
Not to be confused with the television adaptation to take place several years later in which the character is named "Squeak", an odd change made by the director of said cartoon. Everything else about the character is the same.
The name had all but been forgotten until six years ago, when I was a freshman in High School. The juniors on the bus ride home decided that, since I looked like a mouse to them, my nickname should be "Squeek". I didn't take this as an insult, of course, as these two kids were rly c00~
From then on, I've used "Squeek" as my Internet handle. Variations include "Sqweek", "Squeak", and "MreSqueek", which is the unpunctuated form of "Mr. E Squeek", a play on words I invented when I was ten.
