Why.

I just don't understand.

Root folder: X:\My Stuff. This folder appears on the desktop as an expandable option, much like quicklaunch. Clicking the arrow shows these folders:

Anime, Downloads, Games, Junk, Manga, Movies, Songs, TV Shows.

Anime Folders: Movies, Music, Series, Videos. Movies = Anime Movies. Music = Anime Music. Get the trend going on here? Music is sorted in an odd manner, but it works. There are folders for each show I have a soundtrack to, then subfolders for discs. There is one folder for OPs and EDs that I enjoy.

Downloads: Where downloads are downloaded to, then sent to another folder.

Games Folders: Music, Playable, Videos. Music = Video Game Music. Playable = Games that you don't install. Stepmania is one. Videos = Video game videos. Trailers, etc. The music folder here is similar to the anime version. I keep soundtracks with their respective games and just scattered songs in another folder.

Junk: Folder for install files I need to keep handy. Also pieces of installations I just don't want lying around but still want to be able to have easy access.

Manga: Folders of manga. Each folder is subdivided into volumes and chapters, depending on the manga.

Movies: Folders of movies. Folder name = Name of movie. File name = Disc 1, Disc 2, etc. I figure that I already know what folder I'm in, so there's no need to have the movie name in the file name.

Songs: Organized by artist. These songs are not associated with video games or anime. They all go here.

TV Shows: Amazing concept coming!! I keep each show in its own folder! Then I separate the episodes into their seasons and name them by their episode number. Hilariously devious!

Keeping your computer organized is unbelievably easy. Just stick with your organizational method that you prefer and sort new things to accomodate to your organization.
