During the press conference, the demo for Tennis was shown with all motions captured just as they were done. Swordfighting on Red Steel looked exactly as the person swinging the remote had done so on stage. The way your gun in Red Steel is held is based on the rotation of your hand.

Therefore, I say it's quite sophisticated.
