Default Re: Yeah, I made more

I just downloaded Frozen Ray Crystal Mix, Katamari on the Swing, that one Colors mix, and Witch Doctor KCP and played them (except Colors, I'm not going to play a marathon of that ****).

Okay, look. I'm going to put this as simply as I can. You've learned how to make arrows that are in sync with the music. That's an accomplishment, saying as how the majority of people that try to can't. However, it ends there.

The portion of the FFR community that really plays SM and continues to download new files has evolved far beyond what you're making now. Your files may be fun for you to play. They may be fun for some random idiots on BMS to play. They're not even close to being up to par with what is being circulated here, and anything less isn't worth our time.

You may be fine with what you're doing. That's fine. You can keep uploading your new simfiles (that you can crap out at a retardedly fast rate, magically, because this style of stepping is talentless) on BMS. I'm sure lots of people there will enjoy them. You can keep uploading your simfiles to the FFR database, too. There are lots of users there who lurk and haven't played SM long enough to be able to tell the difference between your files and Reach's new files, aside from the fact that Reach's new files are much, much harder.

You can keep posting links to your simfiles in the Simulator Files section of the FFR forums - no one is stopping you. The negative comments that continue to pile up are the closest thing you'll get to anyone trying to stop you from doing this. However, MOST of the users aren't going to care. If I had to place a bet, I'd say that just about everyone who continues to barrage your simfiles with negativity hasn't downloaded any of your files newer than the BPM craze batch, if any at all.

The bottom line is that the majority here are uninterested in your simfiles and the way you create them. You want to know what, specifically? I'll tell you.

Frozen Ray Crystal Mix is the best example I can give. The comment you made on it about heavy possibly being paddable but not specifically implies that it was intended for keyboard play. IT'S BORING. I'd estimate half of the entire thing was a 16th stream. The users here have gone far and beyond that. How often anymore do you see a score on Quasar? I think I saw one recentl- oh wait, that's 1.5 rate.

It's a beautiful song. The simfile is worth downloading and keeping just for it. However, it's completely impossible to make a good file for it. It's one of the most repetitive things you'll ever hear. A stepfile that reflects this, by nature, is not going to be something you would want to go though for around 3 minutes.

I'm not even going to get into what you can do to change this. You can figure it out on your own, if you want to. Let me just tell you now that it will take time (lol ap) if this is the course of action you intend on taking.

I don't understand why you would, though. You said you wanted to give yourself something fun to play on pad, right? That's great. I respect that. It's just not what this community is looking for. The attention you're trying to garner isn't coming for a reason. If you try to appeal to this community, you'll be ignoring the motive you started with. That's just lame.

I've spent enough time typing up this post. I can hardly say it's been worthwhile. Please, please make it as much worth my while as you can, and at least consider this message.
