Re: What is your go-to album or albums?
alphabetical order:
36 - Memories in Widescreen
Alva Noto - Xerrox Vol. 3
Bark Psychosis - Hex
Belong - October Language
Celer - Discourses of the Withered
Jefre Cantu-Ledesma - Love Is a Stream
Steve Roach - Darkest Before Dawn
Totorro - All Glory to John Baltor
Robert Rich - Somnium
William Basinski - A Red Score in Tile
William Basinski - Melancholia
Yodaka - Betrayal and Reincarnation
I get alienated really easily, so a lot of the albums listed feel lonely, melancholic, or meditative to some degree. The only album that wouldn't fit the aforementioned three descriptors is Hex, and Hex, to me, is the prettiest album that I've listened to. I usually listen to it in the afternoon when I don't feel too bad.
I used to listen to a few other albums regularly too (Kashiwa Daisuke's 88 and Program Music I, 2814's Birth of a New Day), but I don't listen to them anywhere as often as I used to these days.
edit: nice picks choof
