As with anything else, if a DDR machine exists, then it exists. Even if it stops working, it will continue to exist until it either decays back to its basic components of matter or someone comes along and deliberately takes it apart and turn its components into something else, thus only by definition does it become quote-unquote "extinct," which is the state of not existing anymore in any given timeline or frame of time. This applies to everything, and once something goes extinct by some means or another, another someone or something will take its place, and through the means of someone or something, that someone or something will also go extinct either by self-destruction or an outside force that could not be stopped, thus creating a continuous cycle that loops on and on throughout eternity until the end of time.
