You can think of this site like a big family where everyone knows each others. I think it's part of what gives it it's charm. People come and go regardless of what happens to the site. What's important is that the site is still running fine and that there's a decent amount of activity. I've been on this site since 11 years, I'm still having fun playing the game and checking out what's going on etc. hopefully it's the same for you.
