It isn't badly done because that's how the FFR difficulty system is supposed to work in principle. Getting, say, 4-0-0-0 on a difficulty 80 song should be the same difficulty regardless of the number of notes in said difficulty 80 song. (However, in practice, I do find it somewhat easier to get better scores on shorter songs, though maybe that's just cause my stamina is crap)
