Tournament Structure
There are no divisions in this tournament. Divisions are a convenient way to keep people of similar skill level together, but these separations are artificial. While divisions can be fun, I think they can be a crutch as well. Based on research I did making a skill analysis metric a while ago, I came up with this:
=> The tournament consists of 7 rounds, each lasting 5 days.
=> Each round, I will give a list of 8 songs of various difficulty that participants will choose from. You may submit scores for any of them, but only the score worth the most ranking points will be counted.
=> Ranking Points is the main system of scoring. Points earned is determined using a formula based on raw score (as a percentage) and song difficulty. The actual formula and a table is included below to help you earn the most points you can. Again, if you’re unsure (or lazy), you can submit scores for multiple songs and my spreadsheet will do the work for you.
R = Ranking Points
P = Score as a Percentage
D = Difficulty of Song
Top row is difficulty
First column is score as a percentage
Cell values represent ranking points

Rules
=> Scores will be submitted via screenshot posted in this thread (with timestamp showing it was done during the round).
=> Late scores will be penalized 5% per day; extensions given per my discretion.
=> No cheating, ever.
=> I understand this new format will come with a bit of a learning curve, but I don't want to hear any whining that you haven't been given a fair chance.
