You can't deny tho that doing so is totally looking down on legit ideas and submissions because of non sequitur reasons.
Seriously though, excluding X-mod files because "nobody plays them everybody sticks to c-mod" is probably the best way available to truncate the community from coming with cool new charts and contribute to make the game consistently fun, promoting *nice* and *original* alternatives and all that.
If the file is good, it's reasonable to accept it and to give it visibility instead of turning it off because "nobody plays it everybody uses c-mod".
In fact it's quite preposterous to think it like that, usually that's the kind of problem you have in cultural industries because money is involved. It should not be an issue in a community playing a free game while making free files on their free time.
Honestly.
There's no sacrifice in accepting something that supposedly nobody would play as long as it's intrinsically good and
ffffffffffffun. Maybe that could pull the whole community a bit more upward for all I know.
