C418 - one

Daniel Rosenfeld, also known as C418, is credited as the producer of the music in Minecraft. He produced the world music, the ambience music and the songs for all 12 music discs.
The majority of this album was created for the Minecraft documentary, and as such, doesn't sit well by itself. Cohesive only in sound, ideas are presented in a seemingly random fashion. The shorter tracks, such as "I glove thy flob," "pr department," and "fifflas" are enjoyable, but they're finished and fading out into the next far too quickly. Longer tracks, like "preliminary art form," and "buildup errors" have a better time presenting ideas and concepts. A few stand out tracks, such as "certitudes" and "one," help make the album a bit more interesting, with the granulated breaks, clicky percussions, and driving basslines.
As a whole, this album has too many ideas being presented, and only a few of them evolve fully; the rest meander for a few minutes and then disappear.
Tracks I liked: Certitudes, One, Total Drag
Overall Rating: 5/10
