only way to fix the exp share really is to get rid of it or lower the exp gains to what they would be in gen 4 (definitely not gen 5)
they could just not have megas until post-game which i'm 95% expecting
also torchic was an event so technically that wasn't built into the game BUT lucario and the kanto starters were
