I have a few acquaintances who I never talk to anymore, but as far as close friends I don't have any who I see regularly. I talk to my roommate in my dorm, but we barely exchange any words besides greetings. I'm planning on joining the art club, but the only time they responded was to go to a museum. I wanted to know where they meet on campus so I can meet with them regularly, but so far they haven't responded since then. I'm planning on visiting some sort of painting club tomorrow, but I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to paint without showcasing my paintings.

I have a very difficult time making friends because I'm the kind of person who doesn't like to make the first effort to see someone unless it's for a practical reason. I've only had a few close friends in my life, but the only close friend I had in high school is attending a different college than mine. In addition, I haven't spoken with him in over eighteen months. I'm trying to become a lot more social because I sometimes feel very lonely, so hopefully I'll eventually be able to make a friend who I get along with often. I'm extremely picky when it comes to choosing friends, so it may take awhile longer. However, I hope to find a good friend in college soon!
