Default Re: Must-do things in Toronto?

It really depends on what you like to do. If you like beer, Mill St is seriously awesome and their food is delicious too. The distillery district is nice to walk around in at night but most other places there are pretty pricey. Another good brew-pub in Toronto is Bellwoods. Steamwhistle is right underneath the CN Tower/aquarium and they will give you a free glass of beer for going in.

If I were you and only had a day to spend in Toronto, I would spend at least a bit of it on Queen West/Chinatown/Kensington Market. There is a lot of good shopping on Queen W, Chinatown is Chinatown and Kensignton is a cool little village with lots of vintage stores, markets, ethnic eateries, specialty stores, coffee shops and a pot cafe. If you are going to go to either Chinatown or Kensington you might as well do both anyway as they are right beside each other, and equally worth checking out IMO

If you have a car or want to travel a bit outside of Toronto you could always check out Pacific Mall, which is a very Asian mall in Markham. It has a somewhat decent arcade (was once the best arcade in the area by far, but they recently fucked it up), a few anime stores, a lot of good food vendors and a pretty cool environment

All of the good arcades are gone.
