You're placing a low bet, and if you lose that, you place the next higher bet, and continue doing so until you (hopefully) win. You're not counting the house taking 10% of the winnings. If you watch your credits closely, you'll see it. Also, iirc Reincarnate mentioned that the probabilities weren't quite 50/50 because of the way the coding worked (It slightly favored the person who took bets), so the probabilities are likely off as well. You have a rosy version of the gambling hall here, and it still looks like a bad idea.
