I don't like the idea of giving advantages to better players. Some of my best ranks so far have been the songs that I've picked. If the better players are always picking the songs, they will continue to have an advantage. Also, the point of this thread is to comparing scores of people of similar skill, screwing up each other's scores seems to cloud this objective and once again the better players will use this to the advantage to put the weaker players even lower. Plus, people don't always have time to go replay a song on a whim because someone 'blasted' your score. I have a newborn kid and I have to make time to play. I may not get to play for a good part of a week at a time.

Pretty much, all of the ideas in your post benefit the stronger players to further suppress the weaker scorers. I just want to compare scores and be ranked by raw score each week.
