Narcolepsy refers to "sleep attacks", which I associate with.. something like an invasion of consciousness. You captured that really well, so the base idea should be kept as is. What I was thinking was distorting the graphics in some way (except for the shadow figure), since the sufferer isn't really in control of their consciousness.

Sorry if what I am saying is still really vague, I hope that makes more sense though.
