FC = "Full Combo", meaning that you start your combo on the first step and hold it all the way through the song... In other words, you have to get all Perfects / Greats. This also usually gets you a AA, but there are exceptions... AA is 93% of the points regardless of combos, so if you decided to get as many greats as you can you could probably full combo a song with only a C as your grade.

I could never FC insertion, I always get goods on that "gallop-gallop-gallop-gallop-1-2" pattern at the end... The first time I played it I thought it was a run of eight notes and got an insane amount of goods / almosts =\
