He's trying to say that there is no point in your origional post besides harassing him over the etymology (I know I butchered that word, I don't feel like looking it up) of a word that nobody cares about...
So what if it comes from a racial term? The swastika was origionally a buddhist symbol of peace, then Hitler turned it upside-down and used it as the Nazi symbol (Essentially a symbol of war and hatred). Today, people associate the swastika with the Nazi meaning, not the Buddhist meaning. It works the same way with the word "jipped" - It may have come from a racist term invented oh-so-long ago, but that's not really what it means anymore. Most people don't even realise the meaning of it besides the "ripped-off" form of it. So did you pester him about it?
