2. Firstly, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The person appearing on the other side of the teleporter would feel as if his consciousness was preserved perfectly even if he was completely new with the same memories/physical makeup/etc, but the initial person who entered the teleporter would be annihilated and would tell no tales.

And secondly, you can't ever disprove God or a soul. But that doesn't mean we have good reason to believe in either one. People would just argue that the soul somehow transported along to the new body or something.
