o2mania timing is a little off, you have to hit slightly earlier
IDK how to change that but you can set the judge/timing difficulty of o2mania (it defaults on "normal", which is slightly looser than o2jam imo, theres "easy" and "hard" too) via the menu
Biggest advantage of o2mania is the file isolation system. When you select a song and press enter, you can drag the notechart using the mouse+left click. You can assign a start marker using Ctrl+F1 and an end marker using Ctrl+F2. If you press F6 to start the song, the song will play from the start~end marker (its a very nifty file isolation feature, allowing you to practice hard parts of songs). To clear markers press Ctrl+F3
Press F8 to select music. on the bottom left, you can select if you want normal/mirror/random/panic patterns too. You can also set dark/hidden/sudden if desired
