Why can't you compare the two? One is a sexual attraction to a certain group of people, and the other is sexual attraction to a certain group of people. Both of them can be perceived either positively or negatively depending on the culture. Just because we have very straightforward pedophilia laws in most developed nations doesn't mean that it's innately wrong, it means that our society looks down upon the activity and our governments have codified it.
