550 x 400 for FFR (which would be 1.375, yes).
SM aspect ratio varies (widescreen or normal), but it's usually 1.333:1, as you said. The issue with FFR being harder to read might involve the ratio from the noteskin size to the overall field length.
The example that I provided in DF - ITG's field/noteskin size compared to PIU Pro's filed/noteskin size - most players will play roughly in the 600 BPM area on ITG (4x on a 150, 6x on a 100, etc.), but those players who play in the 600 area on ITG will only play in the 500 area on PIU: Pro (4x on a 125, 5x on a 100, etc). The point I'm trying to make, is that if the noteskins don't entirely compensate for field size, it may affect how well your reading is.
It's the point I've tried to make about LD's engine and the "C-Mod" reading, because you also have to compare the aspect ratio and noteskin size between both games.
