This same exact thing happened to me at school.

When I pressed shift enough times to get the stickykeys popup again, it didn't stop. Everytime I tried clicking one folder, it selected like 10 others.

Fastest solution would be to restart your computer. However, I spent about 30 minutes doing this:

The shift and Ctrl button at the far left of the keyboard, I start mashing the hell out of them and did all these weird combinations and clicked off the folder and the caps thing disappeared

Now that I've done experiments, seems like pressing the Ctrl, Shift buttons at the left of the keyboard and clicking at the same time removes the Caps lock effect.
