Maybe we didn't know that beforehand. Also, the "arcade" genre was probably originally intended for old-skool games, or at least well-known ones. The whole genre seems a little weird after we count stuff like Touhou or beatmania as "arcade" games. IMO those kind of songs would fit better in a different category altogether.
