As for the games, RB's characters always looked really bad to me,

I can see where you're coming from, but after the ****ing wackjob characters GH3 had, I'm not exactly going to be picky with RB's characters. Anyway, who actually looks at their character while playing? Not really important either way.

WHAT? That's crazy. I love the rectangular notes. They make more sense anyway, what with there being nothing circular shaped like that on a fretboard anyway.

I hate the note explode animation (looks like a miss every time I see it),

I haven't been paying much attention to RB2's track list, but RB1 has THE BEST SOUNDTRACK EVER ******

As for the instruments, RB has a reputation for terrible stuff.

wut no. Just the first couple of runs or something were garbage. Anyway, I got my guitar, drums, and mic the day it came out and mine is still functional in every way, except that my tilt sensor in my guitar MYSTERIOUSLY doesn't work anymore. But like I said, first run was garbage.

The drums have no cymbals unless you spend $300 more for "good" drums (fat chance).

No, the basic kit has extension ports for cymbals as well.

And the word you're looking for is "premium".

The guitar is basic, standard, and ugly compared to the WT guitar.

The aesthetic differences are as follows:

GH fretboard is black, RB has simulated woodgrain.
GH has no "pickguard", RB has a white "pickguard"

The functional differences are the shape of the buttons and the fact that GH has that touch board thing that is probably a little fun to fool around with, but not very applicably useful in actual play.
