The genes can be inserted into the human genome at a very young stage of life while the baby is still in the womb or even before the egg is fertilized, sorry I didn't use the right words!! I meant that the gene would be inserted AFTER the egg was fertilized. We could actually alter athletecism intelligence, and the mutated protein could also be inserted making the baby immune to AIDs/HIV. But the problem is it doesn't always work, they did this to a monkey who is now EXTREMELY intelligent, but it took them close to 27 embryos....and of course they couldn't waste human embryos like this, goddamn catholic church and activists.
