Be honest. When you turn on the news you are secretly hoping that some cataclysmic event has occured so you may witness the suffering of thousands. When you do get to see this, you say, "Gosh that's awful" but there is a subtle tone of satisfaction in your voice. You say, "I hope things get better" but you really want them to get worse, much worse. We are all sadists, most of us are just to ashamed to admit it.
